  • Patent number: 11959506
Abstract: A spindle nut retainer is used with a spindle with a flat portion on its threaded end. The flat portion interrupts the threads on the threaded end. A washer with a mating flat portion is slidably mounted over the threaded end and a nut is removably threaded to the threaded end of the spindle against the washer to set the preload on bearings. The nut retainer overlays a plurality of the corners of the nut and engages the threaded portion of the spindle with tangs. A majority of the tangs are flexed or bent to remain in biased contact with the threads on the spindle. Some of the tangs are located over the flat portion and remain unbent. The tangs resist rotation of the nut by engagement with the flat portion where it meets the threads.

  • Patent number: 11958686
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a new method, system, and process for the repair and management of repair of a rack system. More specifically the present disclosure relates to using braces of standard sizes, pre-Certified or not, as part of a new method, and process for the onsite repair of slightly damaged elements of wholesale or storage rack systems and associated process of qualification and certification thereof. Shaped repair braces, designed to be mechanically superior to damaged pieces they replace, allow for the off-site pre-certification, off-site selection, and installation of these braces with a possibility of automatic or semi-automatic recertification of the repaired rack system when the brace is added. The process also allows for the use of one or a set of pre-certified braces and under a controlled process of determination of which brace can be used (using a software or not) and resulting in pre-certification of the system once the brace is successfully put in place.

  • Patent number: 11960842
Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for natural language understanding in conversational systems using machine learning processes. In some examples, a computing device receives a request that identifies textual data. The computing device applies a natural language model to the textual data to generate first embeddings. In some examples, the natural language model is trained on retail data, such as item descriptions and chat session data. The computing device also applies a dependency based model to the textual data to generate second embeddings. Further, the computing device concatenates the first and second embeddings, and applies an intent and entity classifier to the concatenated embeddings to determine entities, and an intent, for the request. The computing device may generate a response to the request based on the determined intent and entities.

  • Patent number: 11958425
Abstract: A control device for a recorder in an associated vehicle includes a processor and an input port operatively coupled with the processor. The input port receives a parking brake status signal comprising parking brake data representative of a parking brake status. A non-transient memory device is operatively coupled with the processor. The non-transient memory device stores parking brake status data representative of whether the parking brake is engaged. Control logic stored in the non-transient memory device is executable by the processor to: determine a parking brake status as engaged based on the parking brake data. An output port is operatively coupled with the processor. The output port transmits a recording control signal enabling the recording based on the determined parking brake status.

  • Patent number: 11962661
Abstract: A technique uses a graph neural network (GNN) to determine whether a particular entity under consideration is engaging in abusive network-related activity over a computing network in collaboration with other entities. In some applications, the particular entity is part of a bot attack aimed at fraudulently engaging with advertisements. The technique trains the GNN by performing machine learning on a training set that includes a plurality of nodes, edges, and node labels. In forming the training set, the technique associates a feature set with each node in the training set that describes the network activity exhibited by that node's entity. The technique then connects each pair of nodes in the training set with an edge if the feature sets of the pair satisfy a prescribed test for similarity. The technique assigns labels to at least some nodes to convey whether the nodes are associated abusive network-related activity.
