Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for providing electrical power from a utility electric grid to a fracturing operation, and an electrically powered fracturing system. A mobile substation includes at least two transformer units that are operatively coupled to the utility electric grid in a parallel orientation, wherein the transformer units are capable of receiving power from the utility electric grid and stepping down the power for delivery to a switchgear. An electric motor is operatively coupled to a hydraulic fracturing pump and operatively controlled by a variable frequency drive. At least one open air relay cable is operatively coupled between the switchgear and the electric motor and capable of delivering power to the electric motor.

Abstract: A power management and smart lighting system is provided that enables efficient distribution of DC power to various building features, including LED lighting. The power management system includes an intelligent power supply unit configured to convert AC power drawn from a building load center into a deadband DC waveform. The deadband DC power generated by the intelligent power supply unit is then transmitted over power-with-Ethernet cables to a plurality of distributed intelligent drivers, each configured to intelligently power one or more LED troffers. The intelligent drivers may be daisy-chained to one another by the power-with-Ethernet cables, enabling a power-ring architecture. To enable easy control of the drivers, intelligent sensors can be distributed throughout the topology and connected to the drivers (e.g., via power-with-Ethernet cables) to enable a wide array of lighting control options.

Abstract: Described herein is a front-end for a neural recording system that boosts input impedance of the front-end circuit. The front-end includes an amplifier and two choppers. A first input terminal of the first chopper may be coupled to a first output terminal from one or more signal sensors. A first input terminal of the second chopper may be coupled to a second output terminal from the signal sensors. A second input terminal of the first chopper may be coupled to a first output terminal of a feedback subsystem. A second input terminal of the second chopper may be coupled to a second output terminal of the feedback subsystem. The output terminals of each chopper may each be coupled to a different capacitor such that after switching, the voltage of each capacitor remains substantially the same, improving the input impedance of the circuit.
Abstract: An assembly includes first and second light emitting diode (LED) lighting fixtures. Each LED lighting fixture includes an enclosure, a heat sink disposed in the enclosure, a LED array mounted on the heat sink, and a connector attached to a first end of the enclosure. The connector of the first LED lighting fixture is a male connector, and the connector of the second LED lighting fixture is a female connector. The male connector is configured to directly mate with the female connector without the use of tools.
Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to detecting text in images. In some embodiments, a system for detecting text in images comprises a database configured to store images and a control circuit configured to retrieve an image, generate, based on the image, a collection of augmented images, detect characters in each of the augmented images, generate bounding boxes for the characters in each of augmented images, recognize the characters in each of the augmented images, select, based on the recognition of the characters in each of the augmented images, candidate characters, wherein the candidate characters are selected based on consistency of the recognition of the characters in each of the augmented images, detect, for the image, a color associated with the characters, and store, in the database, the image, the candidate characters, and the color associated with the characters.

Abstract: Hotel amenity fluid dispensing assemblies, systems, and methods for refilling empty reuseable jars from a source container positioned on separate scales within a housing. Each container/jar provides an RFID tag identity read by its respective scale RFID reader to provide selective operational parameters. Separate housing tower assemblies are fluidly connected to the central pumping assembly between the tower assemblies to draw product from the source container to the fill jar. Microprocessor-based control is electrically coupled to the pumping assembly, the scales, and RFID readers to turn fluid flow on and off. The control actuates the pumping assembly to dispense a precise amount of the fluid based upon the RFID identity and real time scale readings and activates tower assembly manifold movement to allow for replacement of empty source and full fill jars.

Abstract: Garbage collection or other computational work accesses memory which is located outside processor registers. Some embodiments specify at least some of the memory accesses and separate them from other computations, and utilize a memory access state machine to control the execution of both kinds of computation. Code that employs memory access results is placed in a run routine which is divided between respective states of the state machine. The specified memory accesses are invoked from a state code, and overlap other computation. A prefetch buffer may be dynamically sized based on the availability of space in the prefetch buffer. Code for shared work, such as address relocation code, may be placed in its own state structure. Candidate code for possible separation into a specified memory access routine may be automatically recognized.
