  • Patent number: 11946835
Abstract: A gas monitoring and control system including a gas sampling chamber, sampling inlet and outlet valves, a pump and a controller. Sensors are disposed within the interior chamber that sense characteristics of a gas from a gas source and generate representative signals. The sampling inlet and outlet valves i) allow the gas into the gas sampling chamber while operating in a gas sampling state, and ii) allow ambient air into the gas sampling chamber while operating in a purge state. The pump i) causes the gas to flow through the gas sampling chamber while operating in the gas sampling state or ii) causes ambient air to flow through the gas sampling chamber while operating in the purge state. The controller causes the sampling inlet and outlet valves, and the pump to alternate operating in the gas sampling or purge state to selectively expose the sensors to the gas.

  • Patent number: 11947914
Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for fact checking based on semantic graphs. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, after obtaining a text to be fact checked, a plurality of evidence sentences related to the text are retrieved from an evidence database. Then, semantic graphs of the text and the evidence sentences are constructed based on the semantic analysis, and a veracity of a statement in the text can be determined based on the semantic graphs. Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a graph-based reasoning approach for fact checking, and use the constructed semantic graphs to facilitate verification of the truthfulness of the text, thereby improving the accuracy for fact checking.

  • Patent number: 11948090
Abstract: In the present disclosure, a method for compressing a feature map is provided, where the feature map is generated by passing a first input through a deep neural network (DNN). A respective optimal index order and a respective optimal unifying method are determined for each of super-blocks that are partitioned from the feature map. A selective structured unification (SSU) layer is subsequently determined based on the respective optimal index order and the respective optimal unifying method for each of the super-blocks. The SSU layer is added to the DNN to form an updated DNN, and is configured to perform unification operations on the feature map. Further, a first estimated output is determined, where the first estimated output is generated by passing the first input through the updated DNN.

  • Patent number: 11944926
Abstract: Nanofiber filter media ribbons are flexible elongate strips of polymeric material having a surface on which is formed an array of nanofibers. Ribbons are formable into woven or non-woven mats. The array of nanofibers can be configured to filter a predetermined contaminant from a fluid stream passing through the mats. Filter ribbons are formable by applying a moldable polymer to a first angular location of a rotating cylindrical roll having an array of nanoholes formed in a circumferential surface thereof so that the polymer covers the surface of the roll and infiltrates the nanoholes; cooling the polymer while rotating the polymer-covered roll to a second angular position; and removing the cooled polymer from the roll as an elongate film having an array of nanofibers formed on a surface thereof by the polymer that infiltrated the nanoholes.

  • Patent number: 11947963
Abstract: Computing resource management is improved during fast sorting using vector instructions. The process includes: determining a pivot value and a pivot position in a data set (e.g., by sampling with vectors and determining the sample median), determining whether moving data in the sampled portion may be avoided (e.g., if it is constant-valued or already sorted) and, leveraging that determination to possibly avoid unnecessary data movement, sorting the data set. Some examples further determine the microarchitecture version of the computing device performing the sorting and select an implementation of sorting instruction that is tuned for that microarchitecture version (e.g., based on the number of vector registers and motherboard cache configuration). Some examples leverage a soft 3-way quicksort by finding data elements adjacent to the pivot position that also have the pivot value and adding a partition boundary at the end of the set of same-valued data elements.

  • Patent number: 11949933
Abstract: Delay in output of a requested content asset by a user device may be reduced by sending a portion of the content asset to the user device in a particular type of format, such as an unsecured format. The unsecured portion of the content asset may be sent to the user device while a license for the content asset is being processed. The size of the unsecured portion of the content asset may be determined based on a time for the user device to receive the license. The time for the user device to receive the license may be determined based on a time to process the license. After sending the license to the user device, another portion of the content asset may be sent to the user device in a secured format. The user device may use the license to access the secured portion of the content asset.
