Abstract: Instrumenting of a video is provided, including determining a query topic based on the content of a received query, semantically searching a video metadata repository for category-based video metadata associated with a first category, and returning the category-based video metadata associated with the first category based on the semantic searching. The first category is semantically associated with the query topic and is one of a plurality of categories that a machine learning model is configured to output responsive to the input of video data representing video content. The machine learning model was trained based on inputting training data, including historical use training data associated with each of the plurality of categories into the machine learning model.

Abstract: Techniques for securely storing and processing data for training data generation are provided. In one technique, multiple encrypted records are retrieved from a first persistent storage. For each encrypted record, that record is decrypted in memory to generate a decrypted record that comprises multiple attribute values. Then, based on the attribute values and a definition of multiple features of a machine-learned model, multiple feature values are generated and stored, along with a label, in a training instance, which is then stored in a second persistent storage. One or more machine learning techniques are used to train the machine-learned model based on training data that includes the training instances that are stored in the second persistent storage.

Abstract: An electric vehicle, and braking system and a method of operating the electric vehicle. The braking system includes a mechanical braking system, a regenerative braking system, and a controller. The controller is configured to calculate a total braking torque for operating the electric vehicle at a selected velocity during braking, determine an available regenerative braking torque via the regenerative braking system, calculate a mechanical brake torque for the mechanical braking system from the total braking torque and the available regenerative brake torque, and apply the mechanical brake torque at the mechanical braking system.

Abstract: A monitoring device configured to be attached to a subject includes a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor configured to measure physiological information from the subject, a blood flow stimulator, and a processor configured to process signals from the PPG sensor to determine a confidence score of the signals. In response to a signal-to-noise level determination, the processor is configured to instruct the blood flow stimulator to increase blood perfusion at a location where the PPG sensor is attached to the subject. The confidence score is an indication of how strongly the signals can be trusted.

In particular, a computing device may receive an access request, from a user of a first tenant, requesting access to a resource of a plurality of resources on a shared collaborative channel of a second tenant. The computing device may further evaluate cross-tenant access policies of the first and second tenants to determine that access to the plurality of resources is authorized by the first and second tenants, validate that the user is a member of the shared collaborative channel, and generate a validation token indicating the user is validated to access the plurality of resources. Based on the validation token, the computing device may further validate that the user is in compliance with the cross-tenant access policies for accessing the resource and grant the user a set of permissions to access the resource.

Abstract: Disclosed is a protective cabinet in the form of a moveable furniture unit that has structure to enable moving the furniture unit into a locked position in which it blocks a point of ingress of a would-be assailant, such as a door or window into a space. In certain configurations, the furniture unit includes protective, hardened material, such as a ballistic material that provides increased protection against fire from a weapon, such as may be encountered in an active shooter event. For example, the cabinet may be used on a daily basis inside of a classroom, and may be moved and locked into a position in front of a doorway, window, or other ingress or egress point of the classroom during an active shooter or other threat event to both block the ingress/egress point and provide ballistic protection against weapons fire from outside of the room.

Abstract: The disclosure relates generally to methods and compositions for performing bone marrow transplants using a non-myeloablative chemotherapeutic agent and chemotherapeutic-resistant cells. Using the methods and compositions described herein, a patient's bone marrow may be reconstituted and the patient avoids adverse side effects, including myeloablation and/or an impaired immune system.
