Abstract: A projector system in a head mounted display (HMD). The projector system includes a microscopic mirror. A microelectromechanical system (MEMS) is coupled to the microscopic mirror. The MEMS is configured to tilt the microscopic mirror at a varying scan angle in a first periodic fashion along a single scanning axis. A rotary platform is coupled to the microscopic mirror. The rotary platform is configured to rotate the microscopic mirror about a rotation axis in a second periodic fashion. A light emitter is configured to direct light into the mirror. The light emitter is configured to be modulated based on the position of the microscopic mirror due to the microscopic mirror being tilted along the scanning axis and rotated about the rotary axis.

Abstract: Embodiments of copypasta filtering system technologies cluster digital content items into copypasta clusters, extract a first feature set from the digital content items in the copypasta clusters, apply a first set of filters to the first feature set, and based on output of the first set of filters, divide the copypasta clusters into first intent copypasta clusters and possible second intent copypasta clusters. A second feature set is extracted from the digital content items in the possible second intent copypasta clusters. A second set of filters is applied to the second feature set. Based on output of the second set of filters, second intent copypasta clusters are created.

Abstract: A light-emitting device includes: a plurality of light sources configured to be disposed on a substrate; a light diffusion member configured to commonly cover the plurality of light sources; and a plurality of wavelength conversion members configured to be disposed between the light sources and the light diffusion member in a thickness direction and disposed in regions corresponding to the plurality of light sources in a plane, respectively, and configured to convert light with a first wavelength from the light sources into light with a second wavelength.

Abstract: This invention relates to an improved electrodialysis method for preparing an amino acid from a salt of the amino acid utilizing a three-compartment bipolar membrane electrodialysis process wherein an aqueous electrolyte comprising an exogenous acid is added to the acid compartment of a three-compartment bipolar membrane apparatus. The exogenous acid is different than the amino acid and typically has a pKa less than the pKa of the amino acid.

Abstract: Image processing is described. An example method includes generating a feature extraction layer portion of an image classification model based on a deep neural network (DNN) model, and extracting features of a group of images by using the feature extraction layer portion. The method further includes training an output layer portion of the image classification model according to the features of training images in the group of images and classification labels of the training images. The method further includes generating the image classification model by combining the feature extraction layer portion and the output layer portion. Embodiments of the present disclosure implement a lightweight artificial intelligence (AI) solution on a storage system. An expanded storage system can facilitate the generation of AI applications and assist in training an image classification model more quickly, and the obtained image classification model can also produce high accuracy on a small training set.

A method can include connecting the flow measurement apparatus, so that a fluid flow in the well also flows through the flow measurement apparatus, and determining at least one rheological parameter of a non-Newtonian fluid, based on an output of the flow measurement apparatus.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for announcing and detecting automated conversation are disclosed. One of the methods includes initiating, over a natural language communication channel, a conversation with a communication participant using a natural language communication method that includes a dialogue of natural language communications. The communication participant is determined to be automated using a pre-defined adaptive interactive protocol that specifies natural language linguistic transformations defined in a sequence. The conversation can be transitioned to a communication method that is different form the natural language communication method in response to determining that the communication participant is automated.

Abstract: A device for treating the skin comprises a handpiece assembly having a distal end and a proximal end, a cartridge comprising an interior cavity and a tip on the distal end of the handpiece assembly. The handpiece assembly includes a fluid delivery conduit and a waste conduit. In addition, the cartridge is coupled to the handpiece assembly with the interior cavity of the cartridge being in fluid communication with the fluid delivery conduit. Further, the tip is configured to contact the skin. The tip comprises a peripheral lip, a first opening in fluid communication with the fluid delivery conduit, a second opening in fluid communication with the waste conduit and an abrasive element. The first opening, the second opening and the abrasive element of the tip are generally positioned within the peripheral lip.

Abstract: An electronic device, method and computer program product enable an enhanced user experience by adjusting a white balance of a display device according to user preferences in combination with automatically adjusting luminance and chromaticity in response to ambient light conditions. The electronic device includes a color-sensitive ambient light sensor (ALS) and the display device. A controller of the electronic device measures luminance and chromaticity of ambient light using the ALS. The controller adjusts display brightness of the display device in relation to intensity of the luminance of the ambient light. The controller automatically determines a display target correlated color temperature (CCT) in relation to the chromaticity of the ambient light. The controller determines a display target white balance CCT adjusted in relation to user selection(s) related to white balance. The controller sets the display device to digitally map colors about a neutral color defined by the display target white balance.

Abstract: A system is provided that includes a first network interface for a first network type and a second network interface for a second network type that is different from the first network type. The system also includes at least one processor configured to cause the system to perform operations. The operations may include obtaining, from the first network interface, audio from a communication session with a remote device established over the first network and obtaining an indication of a communication device available to participate in the communication session and direct audio obtained from the communication session to a remote transcription system. The operations may also include directing the audio to the second network interface for transmission to the communication device, obtaining transcript data from the remote transcription system based on the audio, and directing the transcript data to the second network interface for transmission to the communication device.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for implementing an edge device that handles data traffic between a logical network and an external network. The method monitors resource usage of a node pool that includes multiple nodes that each executes a respective set of pods. Each of the pods is for performing a respective set of data message processing operations for at least one of multiple logical routers. The method determines that a particular node in the node pool has insufficient resources for the particular node's respective set of pods to adequately perform their respective sets of data message processing operations. Based on the determination, the method automatically provides additional resources to the node pool by instantiating at least one additional node in the node pool.

One or both of the first cradle rail and the at least one side guide can be movable between a wider watercraft-receiving position and a narrower watercraft-received position. In an example, movement of the first cradle rail and/or the at least one side guide from the watercraft-receiving position to the watercraft-received position occurs automatically upon entry of a watercraft into the confines of the watercraft lift system. The airship lift chamber system includes at least one lift chamber filled with lift gas and configured to provide lifting force, a heat exchanger configured to heat the lift gas in the at least one lift chamber, a compressor unit configured to withdraw the lift gas from the lift chamber and to compress the withdrawn lift gas, a pressure tank configured to store the withdrawn compressed lift gas from the compressor unit, a refrigeration orifice formed in the lift chamber, and a valve that connects the pressure tank to lift chamber through the refrigeration orifice. The airship lift chamber system controls density of the lift gas in the lift chamber by heating the gas while removing the gas from the lift chamber and by supplying gas into the lift chamber.
