  • Patent number: 10797977
Abstract: A method for suspending and resuming a connection for desktop virtualization between two computing devices. In response to a client computing device shutting down, suspending, hibernating, or losing network connectivity during virtualization, the server computing device may itself shut down, suspend, or hibernate, or may pause or suspend the operation of one or more applications currently hosted by the server computing device. The server may detect that connectivity has been restored and resume operation of hosted applications. Alternatively, the client may transmit a command to the server indicating that the client is ready to resume virtualization. The client may also be configured to transmit a command that may cause the server to resume a powered-on state after the server was shut down or in a state of hibernation.

  • Patent number: 10796067
Abstract: Systems, methods, media, and other such embodiments described herein relate to critical area analysis (CAA) operations as part of electronic design automation (EDA). One embodiment involves accessing a circuit design having a first layer (which may be a composite layer), sampling the first layer, and performing an initial CAA using the sampled portions of the layer with a set of predetermined defect sizes. The initial CAA is used to automatically generate a model which can be used to accurately select input parameters (e.g., selected defect sizes) for a full analysis. A CAA characteristic is then calculated for the first layer using the input parameters. In various embodiments, different sampling percentages and criteria for selecting input parameters can be used to reduce the computing resources to compute a CAA characteristic, such as theta-bar, while limiting error to a threshold amount (e.g. less than one percent).

  • Patent number: 10796041
Abstract: Systems, methods, media, and other such embodiments described herein relate to improved operation of test devices which verify circuit operations. One embodiment involves accessing a circuit design comprising a plurality of instances of one or more blocks, where each block of the one or more blocks is associated with a corresponding block test pattern comprising one or more test subpatterns. Each corresponding block test pattern is processed to identify independent test subpatterns, and then each instance is processed to identify each independent test subpattern for the circuit design. Similar types of independent test subpatterns are merged into a circuit design test pattern, such that at least two of the independent test subpatterns associated with the circuit design occupy shared test cycles within the circuit design test pattern.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, threshold-based automated rearrangement of object representations on a graphical user interface (GUI) may be facilitated. In some embodiments, a user selection to organize objects based on one or more specific criteria may be received, where the specific criteria is a rearrangement threshold corresponding to a maximum number of rearrangement operations to be performed with respect to a set of objects. Placement of the objects may be determined based on the rearrangement threshold such that one or more objects are rearranged in a component to attempt to create an available region within which a given next object fits in the component without exceeding the rearrangement threshold. The object representations of the objects may be automatically moved to regions of a component representation of the component on the GUI based on the determined placement of the objects.
