  • Patent number: 10712194
Abstract: A fluid sensor system capable of sensing a fluid level or a volume of fluid held by a reservoir, such as a container or a tank. In one embodiment, the system may include a magnetic element in a flotation device that suspends the magnetic element in the fluid held by the reservoir, so that the magnetic element randomly floats in proximity to a top of the fluid surface. Two or more magnetic field sensors or magnetometers are associated with the reservoir in at least two different locations, spaced apart from one another. The system further includes a processor coupled to the sensors. The magnetic field sensors may sense the strength of the magnetic field around the magnetic element to generate signals that are sent to the processor. The processor may then determine the location of the magnetic element within the reservoir based on the signals. The determined location can be correlated to a volume of fluid within the tank which is output to another device and/or a user.

  • Patent number: 10709408
Abstract: A medical image diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment includes an input circuitry, a scan control circuitry, and a reconstruction control circuitry. The input circuitry receives a specifying operation for specifying, from a region of a first medical image acquired such that the first medical image contains less noise, a region for which a second medical image that is a higher-definition image than the first medical image is acquired. The scan control circuitry adjusts an irradiation region of X-rays in a slice direction and a channel direction such that a part corresponding to the region on which the specifying operation is received by the input circuitry is irradiated with the X-rays. The reconstruction control circuitry performs reconstruction, on the first medical image as an initial image, by the successive approximation method by using projection data collected after the irradiation region of the X-rays is adjusted by the scan control circuitry.

  • Patent number: 10714830
Abstract: A digital phase shifter is described where each bit of the phase shifter has a circuit block including one PIN diode in parallel with one transmission line. The phase shifter requires only one PIN diode and one transmission line per bit circuit block. Each PIN diode behaves like a simple switch for phase shifting. When the PIN diode is forward biased (“on” state), current flows through the PIN diode and the RF signal is not phase shifted. When the pin diode is not forward biased (“off” state), current flows through the transmission line parallel to the PIN diode and the RF signal is phase shifted by the transmission line. The digital phase shifter may have n circuit blocks in series, and adjacent PIN diodes may share a current when both are on. The phase shifter may be implemented in a phased array or reflect array antenna including multiple phase shifters.

  • Patent number: 10715641
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring activity on a local area networks (LAN). In particular, embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for associating packets with the devices from which they were communicated, despite the obfuscatory behavior of any network address translators (NAT). A processor first receives packets that were collectively communicated, by a plurality of devices, via a NAT-serviced LAN. The processor aggregates the packets into multiple packet aggregations on a per device basis. Fields that are contained in the respective packet headers of the packets are used. The packet aggregations may be grouped. The embodiments use unencrypted lower-level information (including, for example, IPIDs and domain names), such that aggregation and grouping may be successfully performed even if information in the application layer is encrypted.
