Publication number: 20130086370Abstract: Embodiments provide methods, apparatus, systems, and computer readable media associated with predicting predicates and branch targets during execution of programs using combined branch target and predicate predictions. The predictions may be made using one or more prediction control flow graphs which represent predicates in instruction blocks and branches between blocks in a program. The prediction control flow graphs may be structured as trees such that each node in the graphs is associated with a predicate instruction, and each leaf associated with a branch target which jumps to another block. During execution of a block, a prediction generator may take a control point history and generate a prediction. Following the path suggested by the prediction through the tree, both predicate values and branch targets may be predicted. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2010Publication date: April 4, 2013Applicant: The Board of Regents of The University of Texas SystemInventors: Douglas C. Publication number: 20130085414Abstract: A method is provided to collect liquid, such as pancreatic juice water, and saline, from a body cavity of a subject. In the method, a tool is inserted through the body cavity to reach a target site in the body cavity. A body position of the subject is adjusted such that the wall surface of the body cavity including the target site intersects with a direction of gravitational force and the liquid present in the body cavity gathers on the wall surface intersecting with the direction of gravitational force. A recess is formed to be concaved on the wall surface in the direction of the gravitational force by making the tool press the wall surface of the body cavity. Therefore, the liquid present or discharged in the body cavity is accumulated in the recess. The liquid accumulated in the recess is taken out of the body of the subject.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2011Publication date: April 4, 2013Applicant: OLYMPUS MEDICAL SYSTEMS CORPORATIONInventors: Ken Yamatani, Kunihide Kaji

Publication number: 20130083203Abstract: Systems and methods are described for determining a set of three quality metrics for audio and/or video signals transmitted through a packet network. The set of three metrics provide more insight into which factors are affecting the quality of the received signal as perceived by the end-user. These three quality metrics measure reductions in quality due to lossy media transmission, packet loss concealment from packet loss and/or packet/frame jitter, and long periods of silence and/or frozen video. Because each metric quantifies a different aspect of transmitted quality, a deficiency in the transmitted signal can be identified by reference to the set.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2012Publication date: April 4, 2013Applicant: c/o NetScout Systems, Inc.Inventor: c/o NetScout Systems, Inc.

Publication number: 20130083235Abstract: Systems and methods for camera modules having a movable lens barrel, allowing a maximum lens diameter with minimal outside dimensions are disclosed. At least one single linear actuator is moving the lens barrel. Each actuator is deployed in an own corner of the camera module. The moving lens barrel is guided by rolling elements bearings. The actuator comprises a stator, comprising one or more coils wrapped around a rod of magnetic metal and an anchor comprising one or more permanent magnets, which are tightly attached to the lens barrel. An offset between the longitudinal center line of magnets of the anchor and the center of the stator generates a permanent force pushing the lens barrel in direction of the stator of the motor and consequently pushes protrusions on the lens barrel onto the rolling elements bearings, thus preventing the bearings to fall apart in case of a mechanical shock.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2012Publication date: April 4, 2013Applicant: DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEMS GMBHInventor: Digital Imaging Systems GmbH
