Patent number: 11624684Abstract: An aldehyde fixative solution at a first temperature is caused to contact a tissue sample for a first time period, additionally an aldehyde fixative solution is caused to contact the tissue sample at a second temperature higher than the first temperature for a second time period. The first time period typically ranges from about 15 minutes up to about 4 hours, and the first temperature typically is from greater than 0° C. to at least 15° C. The second temperature typically is from greater than about 22° C. to about 55° C., and the second time period ranges from about 1 hour to about 4 hours. Using this process, improved tissue morphology and IHC staining as well as superior preservation of post-translation modification signals have been accomplished in approximately 4 hours compared to 24 hours for room temperature protocols, and more even morphology and antigen preservation are observed.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2018Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: Ventana Medical Systems, Inc.Inventors: David Chafin, Abbey Pierson Theiss, Michael Otter, Esteban Roberts

Patent number: 11624381Abstract: Material flow modifiers as disclosed herein overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions (e.g., surface erosion, head losses, particulate drop-out, and the like) that arise from flow of certain types of materials (e.g., fluids, slurries, particulates, flowable aggregate, and the like) through a material flow conduit. Such material flow modifiers provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a rotational flow profile. Advantageously, the rotational flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow to overcome the aforementioned adverse flow conditions.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2021Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: Vortex Pipe Systems LLCInventors: Paul Wayne Schmidt, Avijit Ghosh

Patent number: 11627073Abstract: The disclosed method and system increase routing efficiency by identifying a set of candidate Autonomous Systems (ASes) able to reduce average AS distances towards a set of target ASes. Starting from a list of Routing Information Base (RIB) snapshots and a set of target ASes, candidate ASes are ranked based on the gain they would provide in terms of AS distance if they were connected to the network administrator AS. A set of starting ASes may represent the ASes to which the administrator is already connected, and a set of forbidden ASes may represent the ASes to which the administrator does not want to connect. An exemplary web-based interface may show gains of candidate ASes, allowing the administrator to better understand how much an average AS distance toward the set of target ASes would improve.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2021Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: Catchpoint Systems, Inc.Inventors: Alessandro Improta, Luca Sani, Dritan Suljoti, Sergey Katsev

Patent number: 11623177Abstract: An atmospheric water generation system comprises water vapor consolidation systems configured to increase the relative humidity of a controlled air stream prior to condensing water from the controlled air stream. The water vapor consolidation system comprises a fluid-desiccant flow system configured to decrease the temperature of the desiccant to encourage water vapor to be absorbed by the desiccant from an atmospheric air flow. The desiccant flow is then heated to encourage water vapor evaporation from the desiccant flow into a controlled air stream that circulates within the system. The humidity of the controlled air stream is thereby increased above the relative humidity of the atmospheric air to facilitate condensation of the water vapor into usable liquid water.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2021Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: Genesis Systems LLCInventor: David J.
