Abstract: A universal application framework enables efficient user purposeful interface (UI) application development with a novel perspective editor which itself can be an UI application. The perspective editor can be utilized to create perspectives, each of which can be specific to a purpose. UI applications thus developed can be mapped to the same target mapping which points to a technical application component of a frontend server of the universal application framework. The technical application component can provide action and navigation information for a part of the UI applications not specific to any purpose. A perspective is bound to logical entities such as a node representing rows from a table. The perspective can have a perspective type and a data view of the rows from the table in a layout. The perspective type controls which data view is usable in the perspective.

Abstract: A bipartite application implements a table auto-completion (TAC) algorithm on the client side and the server side. A client module runs a local model of the TAC algorithm on a user device and a server module runs a global model of the TAC algorithm on a server machine. The local model is continuously adapted through on-the-fly training, with as few as one negative example, to perform TAC on the client side, one document at a time. Knowledge thus learned by the local model is used to improve the global model on the server side. The global model can be utilized to automatically and intelligently extract table information from a large number of documents with significantly improved accuracy, requiring minimal human intervention even on complex tables.

Abstract: An integrated digital-analog archiving system can automatically initiate a migration process to move electronic documents to a media library. For each electronic document, the system may retrieve the electronic document from a digital data storage medium, extract metadata from the electronic document, determine size, orientation, and format of the electronic document, generate indicators for indicating the start and end of the electronic document to be stored on an analog data storage medium, generate an analog document identifier for identifying the electronic document on the analog data storage medium, generate a scaled image of the electronic document based on the size, orientation, and format of the electronic document, generate a text string based at least in part on the extracted metadata, and render the indicators, the analog document identifier, the scaled image of the electronic document, and the text string on the analog data storage medium.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for the sending, delivery and receiving of faxes according to particular protocols are disclosed. Certain embodiments may receive a fax from a sender and determine if the ability exists to send the fax over a computer based network according to a particular protocol. If there is no destination associated with the fax number for the protocol the fax may be sent according to the fax number. If, however, there is a destination for the protocol associated with the fax number an attempt is made to send the fax to the destination according to the protocol.

Abstract: An interface server (e.g., Web Application Open Platform Interface (WOPI) server) is communicatively connected to an information management (IM) server and to an online application server which acts as a client of the interface server. When a user wishes to open, create, or edit a document in an online application hosted by the online application server, the interface server is called, instead of the IM server which manages the document at the backend of an enterprise computing network. The interface server is configured for obtaining a working copy of the document from the IM server and providing the working copy to the client. The client provides the working copy to the online application for display on the user device. When the work is done, the working copy is sync'd back through the interface server to the IM server as a new draft and deleted by the interface server.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a system and method for the dynamic provisioning of static content. In one embodiment, information presented on a content delivery system can be refreshed based on information published on a content management system. One embodiment can interface the content delivery system and the content management system at the page level. More specifically, content dependencies across pages employing the same content or portion(s) thereof can be tracked in a timely, accurate manner. Upon receiving a notification of a change to the content or a portion thereof from the content management system, a content generation system may operate to determine, based on the dependencies, what pages are affected by the change and, based on the determination, dynamically regenerate any and all affected pages. The regenerated pages may then be stored and/or pushed to the web tier for delivery to end users.

Abstract: Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.

Abstract: A managed container may have a managed cache storing content managed by or through an application gateway server computer. The managed container may receive a request for content from an application running in a secure shell provided by the managed container on a client device. The managed container may determine whether the client device is within a specified geographical location. If not, the managed container may deny or restrict the application access to the requested content. The access denial or restriction may continue until a connection is made to the application gateway server computer or until the client device has returned to within the specified geographical location. If the client device is within the specified geographical location, the managed container may provide or restore access to requested content. Embodiments of the managed container can therefore perform geofencing by disabling or limiting access to content based on predetermined secure/insecure designations.

Abstract: A system and method that enables editing capabilities of content accessed from a content management server using any type of locally-installed application is provided. In some embodiments, a content management server stores documents in a cache on the user's computer. Documents can thus be accessed and edited using the document in the local file system of the user. For example, users may open, reserve or lock, download, and edit documents with a single user action such as a click. Advantageously, the teachings of embodiments as described can be used in conjunction with content management systems for improving the user experiences involved in editing documents by providing an ‘instant’ and ‘seamless’ editing experience substantially equivalent to editing files on a local hard disk.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products for controlling access to an organization's data in a multitenant environment are provided. An organization hierarchy is defined at a multitenant platform, the organization hierarchy comprising an organization and a plurality of sites owned by the organization, each of the plurality of sites representing a data isolation boundary for the organization's data. The sites are associated with subscriptions to applications of the multitenant platform. The organization can designate user partitions within the sites, each user partition designating a corresponding set of site users and a corresponding authentication service. The multitenant platform enables access to each subscription of a site only if a site user is authenticated by the authentication service designated in the user partition corresponding to the site user.

Abstract: An in-place information management system having a management application built on a common data model and configured for asynchronous query-based application of policies on content stored in the disparate data storage systems through a query interface which may be part of a set of integration services. The common data model may be configured based on common architectures of the disparate data storage systems. The query interface may be configured for running a query on a data storage system in response to a search request received by the management application from a records manager and for mapping semantically equivilant keys from disparate data storage systems to a key in the common data model. The query may define a set of records to be treated similarly according to corporate policy on content lifecycle and records compliance.

Abstract: Embodiments as disclosed provide a distributed caching solution that improve the performance and functionality of a content management platform for sites that are physically or logically remote from the primary site of the content management platform. In particular, according to embodiments, a remote cache server may be associated with a remote site to store local copies of documents that are managed by the primary content management platform. Periodically, a portion of the remote site's cache may be synchronized with the content management platform's primary site using an extensible architecture to ensure that content at the remote cache server is current.

Abstract: A summarizer can be invoked by a user to summarize content. Once started, the summarizer can examine the content, determine a main body of the content, extract texts from the main body, concatenate the texts into a text block, and make a call to an artificial intelligence (AI) platform. The call can contain the text block and specify a user-configurable summarization range for summarizing the text block. The AI platform is operable to generate a sentiment of the text block and a summary of the text block in the summarization range and return them to the summarizer. The summarizer, in turn, can instruct an application on the user device to generate a window or page for displaying the sentiment and the summary in the summarization range on the user device, in real time and in context of the content that the user is viewing, reading, or listening.

Abstract: A content management system provides a mechanism for representing a particular piece of metadata in multiple languages. The multilingual metadata system provides a user with an ability to visualize a single translation in a language of the user's preference or based on the user's locale. The system receives an indication that at least one metadata field associated with a managed object contains multilingual metadata. A locale metadata table and a new metadata table for the managed object are created using information from an original metadata table for the managed object. Two or more metadata field values representing at least two languages are received by the system. The metadata fields are tagged with locale information and stored in the locale metadata table in association with the at least one metadata field in the new metadata table.

Abstract: A content management system provides a mechanism for multi-file check-in features useful for content management. The content management system provides a way for users to check in multiple files in a single action. The system allows users to either select assets (e.g., files) or drag and drop multiple assets to be checked in. The assets being checked in are automatically matched with checked out assets, and once matched, unlocked.

Abstract: Systems and methods for content management wherein a client can submit requests to a first API which the forwards the requests to either an IMDB or a gateway to a distributed cluster-computing framework. Requests to the IMDB are serviced and responses from the IMDB are returned to the client. Requests that are forwarded to the gateway are first modified for the distributed cluster-computing framework, and are then parsed by the gateway and used to instantiate processors that generate corresponding requests to the distributed cluster-computing framework. Responsive data from the distributed cluster-computing framework is used to generate responses to the client requests that are forwarded to the first API which modifies them to appear as if they were generated by the IMDB. These modified responses are returned by the first API to the client.

Abstract: Embodiments provide systems and methods for securely transferring large objects. A computer-implemented method, for example, includes determining whether digital content captured by a content capture device currently qualifies as a large file for transmission, based on a size attribute and a current transmission parameter associated with currently transmitting objects from a content capture system to an enterprise content management system. If the digital content qualifies as a large file, the digital content is encrypted and transmitted to a decentralized storage system for storage, and a content identifier that identifies the encrypted digital content stored in the decentralized storage system is transmitted to the enterprise content management system. Otherwise, the digital content is transmitted from the content capture system to the enterprise content management system.

Abstract: A search system as disclosed analyzes a file name to identify any potential tokens or words that might be relevant, and creates supplementary information for the file name. The supplementary information is indexed and searchable, thereby significantly improving the ability of a search engine to discover and return successful search hits.

Abstract: Systems and methods for cloud-based file sharing, where templates are provided for creating workflow instances which enable the sharing of managed objects. Reusable workflow templates are stored in the repository of a cloud-based file sharing system as objects that define components of the workflow, or placeholders for these components. A user instantiates a workflow instance from one of the templates and configures the workflow instance to identify content objects or forms, tasks related to the content objects, and users assigned to perform the tasks. The workflow instance is stored as an object in the repository. Users assigned to tasks are authorized through the workflow instance to access the content objects or forms to perform the tasks.

Abstract: Embodiments as disclosed herein may provide systems and methods for component integration and security. In particular, in one embodiment, a native component that presents a network based interface may be on a device, where that native component may expose a network based interface for access by other components. This native component can then be accessed through the network based interface. To address security concerns and other issues, the native component may be configured to determine if a received request is associated with the same user space and only respond to requests originating from the same user space.
