Abstract: Mobile telephony operators are starting to use unlicensed frequency bands in order to increase the throughput of their mobile telephony network at a low cost. However, the use of the unlicensed frequency bands has certain drawbacks. It is difficult for a mobile terminal to use unlicensed frequency bands as the number of mobile terminals wishing to use these unlicensed frequency bands remains high given the capacities of these frequency bands. The development allows a user device located in a zone of overlapping radio coverage of two base stations to use a shared frequency band with a greater probability of access to the frequency band, while reducing the impact of interferences generated by communications established between user devices and the base stations to which they are connected.
Abstract: A camouflage system and methods of making camouflage systems. The camouflage comprises a series of image layers that are sequenced and superimposed to create a repeatable composite image that reduces visibility to first set of sensors (e.g., an animal's eyes) while enhancing visibility to a second set of sensors (e.g., a human's eyes). The camouflage includes a base set of layers that may be used to mimic a macro-environment, a pattern layer, and a detail set of layers that may be used to mimic a microenvironment. The camouflage may be presented in various color schemes, with one suitable scheme being a range of colors centered around safety orange (Pantone 152) and a range of colors from grey to black.

Abstract: In a vehicle to anything environment, in order to achieve good data reception, receiving equipment and transmission equipment are preconfigured and thus include all the parameters needed for data transmission. In order to increase the probability of the data being received by the receiving equipment, the transmission equipment uses a highly robust modulation and coding scheme to code and modulate the radio signal used to broadcast the data. However, the more robust the implemented modulation and coding scheme, the lower the spectral efficiency of the radio signal used for transmission. User equipments belonging to the same broadcast group are identified by means of an identifier of the broadcast group, which allows for the implementation of a mechanism of acknowledgement by the receiving equipments making it possible to inform the transmission equipment that an error has occurred in the reception of the broadcast data.

Abstract: Methods, devices and systems for efficient 3D printing using a single compact device are set forth. Some embodiments utilize a circular-shaped build area revolving symmetrically around a single center point utilizing a continuous helical printing process. Laser diodes or vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) are utilized as an energy source for curing the print material. The VCSELs can be integrated with the print head and can form an array which can be staggered or linear. In some embodiments, the VCSELs (and the corresponding print head) can be connected to a rotating platform, which can rotate independently from the revolving build area. In some embodiments, a thermoelectric cooler and/or a fluid cooler can provide cooling to the VCSELS.
Abstract: A method for assigning a control system for controlling a remotely controlled vehicle, called a drone, the system being able to transmit data relating to at least one communication service and including a drone and a control entity for controlling the drone. The assignment method makes it possible to associate a set of services that a system supports with the system, and thus to correlate quality of service or security requirements with types of mission and profiles of drones.
Abstract: A system and method for transferring items in a storage facility are provided. The storage facility includes a storage system that includes bins, a control server, and a sensing system. A pick-put operation on an inventory item is performed by picking the inventory item from a robotic apparatus by an operator and storing the inventory item in a corresponding bin of the storage system. The control server receives sensor signals when the sensing system automatically senses a pick-up of the inventory item from the robotic apparatus and placement of the inventory item in the corresponding bin of the storage system. The reception of the sensor signals by the control server indicates execution of the pick-put operation. Thus, a need for the operator to manually scan the inventory item during the pick-up or press any buttons on the storage system to indicate completion of the pick-put operation is eliminated.

Abstract: A method for setting up a communication intended for at least one terminal of at least one second user via analysis of eye movements of a first user. The method is implemented by a device for setting up a communication via analysis of the eye movements of the first user. The device possesses at least one camera, and at least one region of interest is associated, via an identification datum, with the at least one terminal of the at least one second user. The method includes: capturing eye movements with the camera; analysing the captured eye movements; evaluating a duration for which the analysis of the eye movements indicates that a gaze of the user remains directed towards the region of interest; and, when the evaluation indicates that this duration is longer than a threshold, transmitting at least one first message to the at least one terminal identified via the identification datum.
Abstract: A method for receiving a signal during an intrabody communication via a user carrying a terminal. The method is performed by the terminal and includes: receiving a signal from a communication device, indicating that the user moved closer to the device between two instants; detecting, in the signal received, a first radio frame generated between the two instants, the first frame being at the same frequency as that of the signal received; detecting, in the signal received, a second radio frame generated between the two instants, the second frame being at a different frequency to that of the signal received; comparing the first frame to the second frame; and validating a transaction based on the presence or absence of information common to the first and second compared frames.

Abstract: A method and telecommunication equipment item for detecting a cable of a network of cables, in particular of a network of electrical cables, especially ones which are not detectable to the naked eye. For example, a network of electrical cables may be embedded inside the partitions of a building. The telecommunication equipment item has a receiver and a detector of a predefined electrical signal injected into a network of cables as a function of electromagnetic signals received by the receiver. Thus, the receiver is not required to be a specific equipment item dedicated solely to this use but may be implemented in a telecommunication equipment item with which users are widely equipped such as a smartphone, a tablet, etc.

Abstract: A system for sending data in an optical network comprising a plurality of source nodes and destination nodes is disclosed. In one aspect, a source node generates, in a spectral band that is associated with it, a multi-carrier optical data signal obtained by modulation of a source signal at a source wavelength and sends it in the form of single-band data bursts that can be associated with distinct source wavelengths. A single-band data burst comprises, in addition to payload data symbols (PL), a sequence of learning symbols (TS) composed of a plurality of learning symbols. A control unit belonging to the control plane of the optical network determines, for at least one of the source nodes, instants of sending of the single-band data bursts and source wavelengths to be used for sending these single-band data bursts, as a function of a path time of the data bursts between the source node and one of the destination nodes associated with the source wavelength.
