Abstract: A device for managing an extended home network is disclosed. This extended home network comprises a main home network and a secondary network, including an equipment adapted to execute an application based on a uniform resource locator address that enables the equipment to access, via a communication network, at least one piece of data enabling the execution of the application on the equipment. The management device is configured to: receive, via the main home network, a request to associate the equipment from the secondary network with the application, store a list of equipment from the secondary network in association with the application, receive a request to launch the application, from a terminal, via the secondary network, this request comprising an identifier of the application, provide the terminal, on reception of the launch request, with the list of equipment, receive, from the terminal, an identifier of an equipment on the list.

Abstract: A method for managing adaptive progressive downloading of digital content broadcast in real time within a multimedia stream player terminal is disclosed. The method includes obtaining a description file of the digital content, including a list of time segments of the content to be downloaded each associated with several encoding rates of the content, and determining an encoding rate of the time segments to be downloaded for real time rendering of the content, according to a resource constraint of the terminal. If the determined encoding rate is less than a maximum encoding rate proposed in the description file, the method implements a selection of an option: of downloading the time segments at the determined encoding rate and rendering the content in real time; or of downloading the time segments at an encoding rate higher than the determined encoding rate and rendering the content offline.

Abstract: A method for transmitting in a communication network uplink data from an application module in a user terminal. The method includes: determining, by said user terminal, if a correspondence exists between an application module providing at least one uplink packet and at least one rule designating a network slice instantiation to be used for transmitting uplink packets in the communication network; and in response to a determination by said user terminal that the application module providing at least one uplink packet corresponds to a rule designating a network slice instantiation to be used for transmitting the uplink packet in the communication network, transmitting said at least one uplink packet from the user terminal to an entity for access to a user plane of the designated network slice instantiation.

Abstract: A system includes a user interface for allowing a user to select a data stream to be played, a receiver for receiving the data stream to be played and a transmitter for transmitting the received data stream to a device that is capable of playing the stream. The system includes a first and a second device, which are separate from one another. The first device, called a receiving device, integrates the receiver and the transmitter. The second device, called a control device, integrates the user interface and, following the selection, by a user, of a stream to be played and preview on the control device, transmits to the first device a command for playing the selected stream, the command containing data for locating the selected stream. The user interface allowing selection of the stream from content stored on a storage device, the user interface being accessible from the storage device.

Abstract: A method of enrichment of at least one source multimedia content for rendering on a device is disclosed. A rendering zone has a width/height ratio different from the width/height ratio of the source multimedia content. In one aspect, the method comprises identifying, from the source multimedia content, of at least one enrichment content intended to be rendered in a region of the rendering zone distinct from a region for rendering the source multimedia content. And these enriching the source multimedia content, taking into account of the at least one identified enrichment content and delivering at least one enriched multimedia content comprising at least one piece of enrichment data representative of a rendering of the enrichment content in a region of the rendering zone distinct from a region for rendering the source multimedia content.

Abstract: An order consolidation system and method in a storage facility is disclosed. An item received at an order consolidation station by way of a robotic apparatus is transferred by the order consolidation station to another robotic apparatus by way of instructions received from a control server. The control server detects a side of the order consolidation station at which the robotic apparatus arrives, compares received data of placed items on the order consolidation station with stored data to determine a match between the received data and the stored data, and controls the transfer based on the match between the received data and the stored data and detection of the robotic apparatus at the other side of the order consolidation station. The transport of the robotic apparatus with the items to a packaging station is further controlled by the control server for packaging an order.

Abstract: Recyclable identification systems and methods are disclosed. A recyclable identification system, for example, may include a collection vehicle having a container and an imaging system disposed on the collection vehicle and positioned on the collection vehicle to image objects as the objects pass into the container. The recyclable identification system may also include a transceiver and a controller communicatively coupled with the imaging system and the transceiver. The controller may receive a plurality of images from the imaging system, the plurality of images includes images of objects that have been dumped into the container; determine a location associated with the plurality of images; combine the video or the plurality of images with the location; select an image or images of interest from frames of the plurality of images that include images of recyclables; and transmit the image of interest to a cloud computing system via the transceiver.

The control server receives a handling request for handling one or more inventory items stored in the storage unit and communicates a first set of instructions to first robotic apparatus to cause the first robotic apparatus to transport the storage unit from an inventory storage area to a processing area. The control server further communicates a second set of instructions to second robotic apparatus to cause the second robotic apparatus to receive the inventory items and transport the received inventory items to an operation area. A multi-tier structure is slidably coupled to the first base plate and is slidable in “X” axis between first and second positions. The second base plate is slidably coupled to the first base plate and is slidable between third and fourth positions. The first support unit is slidably coupled to the second base plate and is slidable along the “X” axis. A set of linking members links the first multi-tier structure to the first support unit. The set of linking members extends or collapses based on a movement of the second base plate along the “Y” axis. The first support unit and the set of linking members form a second multi-tier structure when the second base plate is at the fourth position.

Abstract: A system and method for facilitating communication between a control server and robotic devices are provided. An integration engine of the system identifies protocol schemes and message schemes that are supported by the control server and robotic devices. When the protocol schemes and message schemes of the control server and the robotic devices are same, the integration engine facilitates transmission and reception of instructions between the control server and the robotic devices through identified communication interfaces. When the protocol schemes and message schemes of the control server and the robotic devices are different, the integration engine translates the protocol schemes and message schemes that are received from one of the control server and the robotic devices to facilitate communication between the control server and the robotic devices through identified communication interfaces.

Abstract: A system for enablement of services and resource allocation in a storage facility is provided. The system includes a plurality of resources and a server. The server stores an identifier and historical data of an item, and receives the identifier associated with the item. The server identifies a default lifecycle of the item and allocates a first set of resources to each predefined process of the default lifecycle. The server detects a value-added service requirement and selects a value-added service based on the detected value-added service requirement. The server modifies the default lifecycle of the item by introducing the selected value-added service in the default lifecycle, identifies and allocates a second set of resources from the plurality of resources to execute the selected value-added service.

Abstract: A control method implemented by a communication device. The control method includes: acquiring a current location and current capacities of a drone; selecting a destination point that can be reached by the drone according to the location and capacities thereof, the destination point being located in the coverage area of a point of access to a mobile communication network; and providing the drone with instructions specifying the destination point towards which the drone is to travel and communication operations to be carried out in connection with the mobile communication network. Once the instructions are obtained, the drone moves towards the destination point and performs the communication operation as soon as it reaches the destination point or as soon as the connection quality reaches a satisfying level.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to a mobile terminal adapted to receive a memory card comprising a processing unit, an input interface and a card locking actuator configured to lock the memory card into the mobile terminal. The card locking actuator is controlled by the processing unit. In one aspect, the card locking actuator is configured to be locked when the mobile terminal is switched on. In another aspect, the processing unit is configured to lock the screen until a screen unlocking authentication procedure is performed by a user at the input interface and is configured to command unlocking of the card locking actuator after detecting that a predetermined authentication procedure is performed by a user at the input interface.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present invention, a terpene-rich sample is prepared for terpene analysis using liquid chromatography via an extraction method that takes little time, uses minimal external equipment, and permits direct injection of extracted terpenes into a liquid chromatography instrument for analysis. An embodiment of the invention involves preparing a terpene-containing sample for analysis by liquid chromatography by liquid extraction; heating the liquid extract in a vial that contains a filter medium or solvent; collecting the terpenes in the medium by the vapor pressure forced through the filter from heating; and eluting the collected terpenes into a vial or directly into a chromatography injector.

Abstract: An order processing system includes a plurality of robotic devices, a set of storage systems, an order consolidation system, and a control server. The control server receives a set of orders for an item, determines a cumulative order quantity of the item, and selects a subset of the set of orders to be opened up for consolidation at the order consolidation system. The control server identifies one the storage systems that stores the item as per the cumulative order quantity and assigns the storage system to an operator station for batch picking of the cumulative order quantity. The control server controls a first robotic device to transport the storage system to the operator station, and a second robotic device to collect from the operator station a first portion of the cumulative order quantity and transfer the first portion to a set of order bins associated with the subset of orders.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting a multimedia communication problem. In one aspect, this is implemented by an execution entity, in a processing phase. A message(s) is received that belongs to at least one stream to be monitored relating to at least one media stream. A correspondence between the received message(s) and rule(s) associated with a stream(s) to be monitored is verified. If verified an error detection massage is sent to a checking entity separate from the execution entity, via a rule management entity.
