Abstract: A coding method and a decoding method for decoding a coded data stream representative of at least one image that is split into blocks. For at least one current block of the image, an item of information indicating a coding mode of the current block is decoded from the data stream. When the coding mode of the current block corresponds to a first coding mode, the current block is decoded using a first determined quantization step to dequantize, in the transform domain, a prediction residue associated with the current block. When the coding mode of the current block corresponds to a second coding mode, the current block is decoded using a second determined quantization step to dequantize, in the spatial domain, a prediction residue associated with the current block. The first quantization step and the second quantization step are determined according to the same quantization parameter.

Abstract: A method for connecting a user terminal to a subset of a network dedicated to a service, termed network slice, implemented by the terminal. This method includes at least one step of receiving at least one network slice identifier, originating from an access device associated with the at least one identified slice, a step of selecting a network slice as a function of parameters included in the terminal, and of the at least one slice identifier received. The method furthermore includes a step of attaching to the access device associated with the selected network slice.

Abstract: A method for locating sensors situated in a geographical area including of at least one reference sub-area. the sensors include: at least one first sensor, each first sensor being associated with a reference sub-area in which it is situated; and at least one second sensor, each second sensor not being associated with any sub-area. The method includes: grouping the sensors into a plurality of groups based on data from the sensors; for at least one group of sensors, determining whether the group includes a first sensor; an if the group includes a first sensor, associating each second sensor of the group with the sub-area corresponding to the first sensor.

Abstract: In order to distribute content made available by an entity of origin, a first distribution entity receives a request to access the content by a client entity. If this is a first access request received by the first distribution entity for the content, the distribution entity acts as a proxy: it receives, from the entity of origin or from a second distribution entity, and retransmits to the client entity, a response including the content, and it stores the content in a cache. In addition, it transmits, to the entity of origin or to the second distribution entity, a context request, receives in return a response including a description of the execution context of the access request, and stores the description. Otherwise, the first distribution entity uses the previously stored description in order to perform an execution of the later access request.

Abstract: A method for establishing a second communication according to a second modality on based on a first communication established according to a first modality between a communication terminal and an interactive server, the server reacting, according to a predefined logic, to commands received from the terminal, the logic being predefined by states and by conditions of transitions between the states. Abstract: A method for controlling access to a security module [of a mobile terminal by an application of the mobile terminal is described. The method includes sending by a current application of the mobile terminal a request to access the security module, said access request comprising the current identifier of an applet comprised in the security module. The operating system of the mobile terminal reads a look-up table comprising a set of access control rules, an access control rule comprising the identifier of an applet of the security module associated with a control value for an application of the mobile terminal, said access control rule indicating that said application of the mobile terminal is authorized to communicate with the applet of the security module.

Abstract: Distributing a configuration to a first terminal, including establishing, on initiative of the first terminal, a connection between the first terminal and a server, which is configured to redirect connection requests received by the server on a communication port to the first terminal. The communication port is derived from an identifier of the first terminal received in a message establishing the connection. When the identifier of the terminal is associated with a plurality of terminals, the method includes generating and storing control data in association with the identifier of the terminal, transmitting, via the connection, a control message to the first terminal, which includes the control data, receiving, from a second terminal, a confirmation message including the control data and an identifier of the second terminal, and when the second terminal is a trusted terminal, and transmitting customized parameters to the first terminal to access the server.

Abstract: A computer-assisted method for spatialized sound reproduction based on an array of loudspeakers, for the purpose of producing a selected sound field at a position of a listener. The method includes iteratively and continuously: obtaining a current position of a listener; determining respective acoustic transfer functions of the loudspeakers at a virtual microphone of which the position is defined dynamically as a function of the current position of the listener, estimating a sound pressure at the virtual microphone; calculating an error between the estimated sound pressure and a target sound pressure; calculating and applying respective weights to the control signals of the loudspeakers as a function of the error and of a weight forgetting factor, the forgetting factor being calculated as a function of a movement of the listener, and calculating the sound pressure at the current position of the listener.

Abstract: A transport vehicle for transporting payloads is provided. The transport vehicle includes primary and secondary chassis, and first and second sets of wheels for supporting the respective primary and secondary chassis. A guide arrangement is mounted on the primary chassis and the secondary chassis is slidably mounted on the guide arrangement. The primary and secondary chassis are parallel and spaced apart from each other. A payload lifting arrangement is positioned on a top surface of the secondary chassis to lift a payload. When a weight of the payload is below or equal to a threshold weight, the weight is distributed across the second set of wheels by way of the suspension arrangement. When the weight of the payload exceeds the threshold weight, the weight is distributed across the first and second sets of wheels by way of the guide arrangement and the suspension arrangement, respectively.

At least one of the client devices of the second user that has received the request responds to the first user message via a request indicating the technical capabilities of the client device of the second user and requests the client device of the first user to supply the technical capabilities of that client device of the first user. The method may have applications to IMS networks.

Abstract: A method enables a plurality of users having communication terminals to communicate via a virtual communication space provided by a communication server on a communication network. The method includes configuring a server application so as to create a virtual communication space for a determined group of users. The virtual space provides a plurality of distinct communication modes referred to as “activities”, each activity relating to at least one associated multimedia content, referred to as “activity content” that is shared by the users of the group. Each activity is performed by determined actions that can be triggered by any of the users of the group. The actions includes at least creating, modifying, or deleting a given activity content. Action requests relating to an activity under consideration and coming from the terminals of the users of the group are processed in a sequential manner in the order of their arrival.

Abstract: A method for managing connections of a multimedia content processing device having at least two different connections for providing at least one function. The method includes the following acts, implemented on the processing device: receiving a request to process multimedia content; analyzing the request so as to extract therefrom at least one characteristic of the content; obtaining a current connection for the at least one function of the device; verifying appropriateness of the at least one characteristic of the content in relation to the current connection; and, depending on the results of the verification, emitting a warning message in order to alter the current connection for the at least one function of the device to a new current connection.
