Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for accelerating charged particles including a charged particle source configured to provide charged particles, an accelerator including: a cavity having one or more inlets and one or more outlets, an electro-magnet substantially surrounding at least a portion of the cavity, a conductor disposed longitudinally within the cavity configured to accelerate the charged particles entering the cavity through the one or more inlets via a radio frequency wave applied to the cavity, wherein the radio frequency wave operates in transverse electromagnetic mode, and a target configured to receive the accelerated charged particles via the one or more outlets.
Abstract: A seating unit and a mechanism for a seating unit are provided. Each seating unit has a pair of mechanisms operable to move the seating unit between a closed position and a reclined position. Each mechanism includes an extended seat plate that extends from, and connects to, the chair back to the front of a seat frame. Each mechanism also has a rear pivot link, the upper end of which is pivotally connected to the seat plate. This pivotal connection is above the seat frame, allowing the mechanism to move the seating unit to the reclined position with minimal front-to-back movement. The mechanism moves the seating unit to a zero gravity reclined position, without the use of roller tracks.

Abstract: Methods and combinations of a curing catalyst with a mold release mixture, which is then subsequently applied to the surface of a mold prior to the application of polyurethane reactants to said mold, where the curing catalyst component has the effect of catalyzing the reaction at the surface of the molded part. This catalysis results in greater reactivity at the surface between reacting portions and lower delamination of the surface of the foam, thereby leading to more attractive skins with a more consistent cell structure, and lower de-mold times due to skins whose nature makes them less likely to adhere to the surface of the mold. These foams will be less likely to tear upon opening of the mold, and production quality and output will be improved.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is a ventilated hob (400) comprising a motor-driven fan (V) adapted to provide high pressure air to two or more burners (BRNi) thereof, each of said two or more burners (BRNi) at least comprising means (VG, 211; 211.a, 211.b) for supplying and regulating the flow of fuel gas (QGAS) in input into each of said two or more burners (BRNi), means (VP; 101; UG) for supplying the flow of combustion air (QAIR) in input into each of said two or more burners (BRNi), able to mix with said fuel gas, shut-off valves of the flow of said combustion air, an electronic unit (CMD) for controlling said air flow (QAIR).
Abstract: A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of springs, each string joined to at least one adjacent string, each string comprising first and second opposed plies of fabric and a plurality of pockets formed along a length of the string by transverse seams joining the first and second plies. At least one spring is positioned in each pocket. Exterior strings have identical springs in their pockets. Interior strings have two different springs along their length, the outermost springs being firmer than the interior core springs. The pocketed spring assembly has increased firmness or edge support along all four sides due to the different coil springs of the assembly.
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may receive (i) settings associated with one or more features of a basic input output system (BIOS) of the computing device and (ii) a device identifier that uniquely identifies the computing device. The computing device may determine a policy identifier that identifies a policy being implemented by the settings associated with the one or more features of the BIOS. The computing device may retrieve a public key associated with an organization that acquired the computing device and sending a request to a service to validate the policy. The request may include the policy identifier and the public key. After the computing device receives a response from the service indicating that the policy is valid, the computing device may initiate a reboot and modify, during the reboot, the one or more features of the BIOS of the computing device based on the settings.

Abstract: A distributed multilayered network routing architecture comprises multiple layers including a controller layer comprising a controller, a control plane layer comprising one or more control plane subsystems, and a data plane layer comprising one or more data plane subsystems. A controller may be coupled to one or more control plane subsystems. A control plane subsystem may in turn be coupled to one or more data plane subsystems, which may include one or more software data plane subsystems and/or hardware data plane subsystems. In certain embodiments, the locations of the various subsystems of a distributed router can be distributed among various devices in the network.
Abstract: A comfort layer for a bedding or seating product has slow-acting pockets characterized by the individual springs of the comfort layer being pocketed with either semi-impermeable or impermeable fabric. Each seam joining opposed plies of fabric around each of the coil springs of the comfort layer may be segmented, allowing air to flow between the segments, thereby increasing the luxury “feel” of the comfort layer. The method of making the comfort layer includes compressing the springs and creating pockets with a welding horn and an anvil.
Abstract: A concealed amalgamated neutralizer covertly combines neutralizer material comprised of various combinations of inert materials such as calcium carbonate or silicates with common explosive material for the prevention of malicious use of the explosive material in improvised explosive devices. The concealed amalgamated neutralizer device may vary in shape, size, and color and is therefore adaptable to varying methods of containment typified by common pyrotechnic products. The neutralizer material mimics the explosive material of the pyrotechnic products without detection. Upon disassembly of a concealed amalgamated neutralizer device, the neutralizer material is mixed with and neutralizes the explosive material rendering the explosive material useless as a component for an improvised explosive device. A biodegradable container is also provided for the amalgamated neutralizer and the explosive material.

Abstract: A bell end adapter arrangement facilitates assembly of conduit sections through which associated electrical wiring and/or cables are routed. The arrangement includes a bell end adapter assembly having an outer bell end adapter, and an inner sleeve portion fixed within the outer adapter. The adapter assembly particularly facilitates routing of wiring from a conduit section positioned within a concrete slab or like flooring element, with the adapter assembly configured to be inserted into the slab and joined to the conduit section disposed within the slab. The adapter assembly has a outwardly flared, bell-shaped open mouth which is configured to receive a second conduit section through which wiring form the first conduit section is routed.
Abstract: A connector structure includes an insulating main body, a shielding plate, a plurality of first terminals, a plurality of second terminals, a protecting component and a housing. The insulating main body includes a base portion and a tongue portion extending out of the base portion, and the tongue portion includes a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and two lateral surfaces disposed between the first surface and the second surface. The shielding plate is disposed inside the tongue portion and between the first surface and the second surface. The first terminals are disposed on the first surface. The second terminals are disposed on the second surface. The protecting component is disposed on the two lateral surfaces of the tongue portion. The housing surrounds the tongue portion to define a docking space, and an opening is formed on a side of the docking space.
Abstract: A connector expansion structure includes a connector and a rear plug. The connector includes a base, a sheet-shaped contact part, a shell-shaped member and a plurality of conductive terminals. The sheet-shaped contact part includes a sheet-shaped structure and an extension structure. The shell-shaped member extends in the normal direction of a first end surface, covers the sheet-shaped contact part, and encloses the ring-shaped structure of the base. The conductive terminal and the rear plug are disposed on the extension structure. The rear plug includes conductive terminal tracks for accommodating the conductive terminals. Two sides of the rear plug block are provided with position-limit tracks and the engagement tracks. Wherein the rear plug is slidable on the extension structure.
