Abstract: A photoradical polymerization initiator that is environmentally friendly and composed solely of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms, generating no acid that may cause corrosion during a radical polymerization reaction, and having a high radical polymerization initiation capacity to light having a wavelength of 350 nm to 420 nm. A photoradical polymerizable composition including a radical polymerizable compound and a photoradical polymerization initiator, where the photoradical polymerization initiator is a 1,4-dihydroxy-2-naphthoic acid compound represented by formula (1): where R is a hydrogen atom, a C1-10 alkyl group or a C6-14 aryl group, and X is a hydrogen atom, a C1-10 alkyl group, a C6-14 aryl group, a hydroxy group, a C1-10 alkoxy group or a C6-14 aryloxy group.
Abstract: An AM/AV material, comprising a topsheet layer comprising fibers comprising a topsheet polymer composition, a backsheet layer comprising fibers comprising a backsheet polymer composition; and an absorbent core configured therebetween, wherein the fibers of at least one of the layers, e.g., the topsheet layer, comprise an AM/AV compound, and wherein the fibers of the topsheet layer demonstrate a rewet value less than 5 g after a first water application and/or a Staph aureus efficacy log reduction greater than 2.6, as measured in accordance with ISO 20743:2013.
Abstract: Polyamide resin that comprise one or more polyamides and a stabilizer component containing an copper complex and a copper salt is disclosed for improving the heat age performance for an article. The combination of a copper complex and a copper salt retains the mechanical properties of the article.
Abstract: An antimicrobial conveyor belt apparatus comprising multiple segments each having a body portion and interlocking fingers extending from the body portion. The segments comprise a polymer composition comprising from 50 wt. % to 99.9 wt. % of a polymer, from 0.01 wt % to 10 wt % zinc, optionally from a zinc compound, less than 1 wt % of a phosphorus compound, and from 0 wt % to 20 wt % molding additives. The conveyor belt apparatus (or the segments thereof) demonstrates a Staphylococcus aureus log reduction greater than 1.0, as determined via ISO 22196:2011.
Abstract: A folding exercise rack system for providing an exercise rack that may be easily and compactly stored when not in use. The folding exercise rack generally includes a plurality of extension members pivotably connected to wall-connected mounting brackets. Upright support members connected to the extension members support a barbell and exercise bar. The exercise rack is pivotable from an extended exercise position into a plurality of selectable compact storage positions substantially parallel with and closely adjacent to the wall. The mounting brackets include a plurality of selectable connection points to determine how much space is present between the wall and exercise rack in the storage positions. One connection point allows a retractable exercise bench to be stored in the space between the wall and exercise rack. Mechanisms are provided for locking the exercise rack in a plurality of selected positions.
Abstract: Various embodiments described herein are directed toward input mechanisms, for input devices, configured to receive and removably couple to interchangeable elements. Handheld input devices applicable to some embodiments may include, without limitation, computer controllers, video game console controllers, and handheld video gaming devices. Input mechanisms applicable to various embodiments may include, for example, control sticks (e.g., joysticks or analog sticks operable by a user's finger, such as a thumbstick), buttons, switches, and directional pads. According to some embodiments, an input mechanism is provided comprising a base component. Depending on the embodiment, coupling different interchangeable elements to the base component may cause the input mechanism to vary in size, appearance, contour, material, or features provided by the input mechanism.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions comprising zirconium and cerium having a surprisingly small particle sizes. The compositions disclosed herein contain zirconium, cerium, optionally yttrium, and optionally one or more rare earths other than cerium and yttrium The compositions exhibit a particle size characterized by a Dso value of about 20 ?m to about 45 ?m and a D99 value of about 55 ?m to about 1 00 ?m. Further disclosed are processes of producing these compositions using oxalic acid in the process. The compositions can be used as a catalyst and/or part of a catalytic system for automobile exhaust gas.
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that include providing an outer tubular member, an inner tubular member telescopically disposed within the outer tubular member, and an annular seal disposed between the outer tubular member and the inner tubular member, the annular seal being resilient to permit relative movement between the outer tubular member and the inner tubular member, and the annular seal having in a radial cross-section: a first annular leg portion terminating at an end that is radially inward or radially outward, the first annular leg portion comprising a first open loop; and a second annular leg portion extending from the first annular leg portion and terminating at an end that is the other of radially inward or radially outward, the second annular leg portion comprising a second open loop.
Abstract: A check valve may be used to enable desired flow rates of fluid in a particular direction. In some examples, the check valve may have a hollow cylindrical body and a threaded portion on an exterior wall of the hollow cylindrical body such that the check valve may be coupled with an assembly, such as an adapter for a vehicle engine. The check valve may include a plunger having a dome shaped portion (e.g., cone shaped, semi-hemispherical shaped, rounded cone shaped, etc.) that extends out of the hollow cylindrical body into free space when the check valve is in an open position and forms a seal with the hollow cylindrical body when the check valve is in a closed position.
Abstract: An exercise rack enclosure system for providing an exercise rack which is concealable within an enclosure. The exercise rack enclosure system generally includes an enclosure including an interior space. An exercise rack is pivotably connected to the enclosure within the interior space. The exercise rack is adjustable between a collapsed position, in which the exercise rack is completely positioned within the interior space of the enclosure, and an extended position, in which the exercise rack extends out of the interior space of the enclosure for use. The enclosure may optionally include one or more doors for concealing the interior space and exercise rack when not in use. Various attachments may be stored in the enclosure and removably connected to the exercise rack for performing a wide range of exercise moves.
