  • Patent number: 10500482
Abstract: A method of operating a video game system can include applying an optical filter in a field of view of a camera to filter out visible light and allow the camera to view non-visible light directed at a display screen positioned within the field of view of the camera. The method can also include processing the video output feed from the camera with a computer processor to identify a location of a non-visible light dot within the field of view of the camera that is projected onto the display screen by a light targeting peripheral unit. The method can also include calculating the location of the non-visible light dot within the field of view of the camera as a proportion of one or more dimensions of the field of view of the camera and translating the location of the non-visible light dot within the field of view of the camera onto a location on the display screen.

  • Publication number: 20190368995
Abstract: A system and method for accurately and efficiently testing a HEPA filter in a sterile environment, such as a clean room, by creating a closed-loop system. The system includes a multi-port interface including at least a challenge port and a verification port, each port being in communication with an area upstream from the HEPA filter. Through the challenge port, test substances are introduced to a supply air duct that is in communication with a HEPA filter. Through the verification port, a concentration of the test substances can be measured for comparison with a concentration that passed through the HEPA filter, i.e. downstream from the HEPA filter. As such, test substances can be dispersed throughout the air conditioning system before interacting with the HEPA filter, and accurately measured. The closed loop between the ports provides an accurate measurement of the concentration of test substances to test the HEPA filter.

  • Patent number: 10481598
Abstract: A motion control system provides optimized communications within and between an amplifier and a profile generation subsystem. In particular, the communications can provide data streams between components of the motion control that are derived from observed variables of the motion system. An amplifier subsystem drives a motor and output motor data indicating status of the motor. The profile generation subsystem issues motor control commands to the amplifier subsystem and generates motor summary data based on the motor data. The profile generation subsystem selectively output an error signal based on at least one of the motor data and motor summary data.

  • Patent number: 10484442
Abstract: A video optimizer receives a request to optimize a source file and stream the optimized file. The request may be accompanied by a key uniquely identifying the original source file to be optimized and an optimized version of the source file to stream to the client. The key uniquely identifies the source video file as it exists on an origin server to prevent transmission of modified source video and the optimized version of the source file by optimization parameters to ensure compatibility with the user device. The video optimizer queries a cache database in response to the received request, which contains references keys and locations of optimized source files among local caches in a cluster of video optimizers. The cache database responds indicates whether a matching optimized version of the source file exists in a local cache of a given video optimizer in the cluster.

  • Patent number: 10474431
Abstract: A device for multiplying two bit sequences has a controller that selects and activates exactly one multiplier unit from a plurality of parallel multiplier units, according to a random signal. A partial multiplier unit shared by all the multiplier units receives and multiplies operands formed by the respectively activated multiplier unit. Each multiplier unit implements a different multiplication method with a respective selector unit that selects segments of the bit sequences to be multiplied, in accordance with a selection plan adapted to the respective multiplication method, to form operands from one or more segments and outputs the operands. The respective accumulation unit receives step by step partial products from the partial multiplier unit, accumulates the partial products in accordance with an accumulation plan adapted to the implemented multiplication method and matching the selection plan, and outputs the calculated product of after accumulation has been completed.

  • Publication number: 20190329167
Abstract: Filter capsules for showers and sinks used in surgical settings, clean rooms and other contaminant-sensitive settings having modified outlets for improved splash control. Flat, concave, convex, asymmetric concave and asymmetric convex outlet inserts have pluralities of fluid bores with varying orientations to permit enhanced fluid flow control out of the filter capsules including divergent, convergent and mixed divergent/convergent fluid flows. An inlet with an axis offset at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the filter capsule body permits user control over the fluid flow strike point in a sink or shower stall via rotation of the capsule about the inlet connection point. A recessed outlet improves the prevention of contaminant dispersal by recessing the outlet away from contact points and potential contaminant sources.
