Abstract: There is provided herein an elastomeric coating composition containing (a) at least one condensation polymerization-effective polymer bearing two or more silicon atoms; (b) a surface wetting agent, (c) a filler; (d) a condensation catalyst; and, (e) optionally, one or more crosslinking agents. There are also provided architectural coatings including the same, as well as single coat anti-dirt, and/or anti-stain, and/or anti-fouling coatings including the same.
Abstract: A method of stabilizing imino-functional silane involving adding thereto at least one Brønsted-Lowry base to inhibit, suppress or prevent the addition reactions of the imino-functional silane with itself to form a imino- and amino-functional silane and the subsequent deamination reactions to form conjugated carbon-carbon double bond-containing imino-functional silanes and stabilized imino-functional silanes containing the at least one Brønsted-Lowry base.
Abstract: Provided is a composition and process for producing a crosslinked product. The composition comprises a mixture constituting (a) an alkenyl silicone, (b) a hydrogen siloxane, (c) a cure inhibitor and (d) a hydrosilylation catalyst, optionally in the presence of a solvent, and (e) sulfur compounds in order to produce the crosslinked product, and the process comprises reacting such a composition to form a crosslinked product.
Abstract: A gas bearing system has at least one gas bearing (30, 32, 34) with a moving part and a static part and which can be operated in both aero-dynamic and aero-static modes. The system has a source (36) of pressurized gas fluidly connected with the bearing and a control system (134) for regulating the supply of pressurized gas to the bearing in dependence on the rotational speed of the moving part. The system has particular application in a turbocharger (1) where a flow of pressurized gas from the source is introduced into the bearing at the start-up and slow down phases of operation of the turbocharger, the flow being stopped, or reduced, when the turbocharger has reached normal operating speeds.

Abstract: A process is provided for treating wood products including lumber, plywood and other engineered wood products comprising the steps of contacting a composition comprising a polypropylene glycol, a high molecular weight polyethylene glycol, a polyether polyol having low solubility in water, or a polytetrahydrofuran, or hydrophobic polyether polyol, with the wood product. The invention also provides wood products comprising a polypropylene glycol, a high molecular weight polyethylene glycol, a polyether polyol having low solubility in water, or a polytetrahydrofuran, or hydrophobic polyether polyol, that have greater dimensional stability compared to an untreated wood product.

Abstract: Mobile device access to a guest network is facilitated. A method comprises: detecting a home network having an associated access point based on the device being within a first defined proximity of the associated access point; and transmitting information indicative of a request to establish a guest network via the associated access point of the home network and providing authentication information for an entity associated with the device. Abstract: A lighting module is shown and described having a housing with an opening therethrough. A forward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a cap and a rearward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a transparent media. Abstract: The present invention relates to wireless networks and more specifically to systems and methods for selecting available channels free of radar signals from a plurality of 5 GHz radio frequency channels. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a standalone multi-channel DFS master that includes a switch and embedded processor that are programmed to switch a 5 GHz radio transceiver to a first channel of the plurality of 5 GHz radio channels, cause a beacon generator to generate a beacon in the first channel of the plurality of 5 GHz radio channels, cause a radar detector to scan for the radar signal in the first channel of the plurality of 5 GHz radio channel, and then repeat these steps for each of the other channels of the plurality of 5 GHz radio channels during a single beacon transmission duty cycle.

Abstract: In a process for producing a cross-linked asphalt/polymer composition (“polymer-modified asphalt” or PMA) that comprises or is produced from asphalt and an ethylene copolymer, an anhydride is used as a promoter. Abstract: A fuel injector assembly is adapted to inject a compressed fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The compressed fuel is stored in a fuel storage tank at a fuel storage pressure and delivered to the fuel injector assembly through a fuel supply line at a fuel supply pressure. The fuel supply pressure is lower than the fuel storage pressure. The fuel injector assembly includes a fuel injector and an adapter valve. The fuel injector injects the compressed gas fuel. The adapter valve is positioned between the fuel injector and the combustion chamber. The adapter valve allows the compressed gas fuel injected by the fuel injector to be discharged from an outlet of the adapter valve into the combustion chamber in an injection direction while preventing blowback gas entering the outlet from passing through the adapter valve in an ingress direction opposite the injection direction.
