Abstract: A guitar-shaped video game controller includes a body having a shape that resembles a guitar body, and a neck that is pivotally coupled to the guitar body via a hinge so that the neck can pivot between an extended position and a folded position relative to the guitar body. A latch assembly is actuatable to selectively lock the neck in the extended position to the body. A cable extends between and electrically connects the neck and the body to maintain an electrical connection between the neck and the body when the neck is in the extended and the folded positions.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is a composition comprising amine compound and carboxylic acid compounds, wherein at least the amine compounds are alkoxylated, use thereof as a drilling fluid, and a method for using the drilling fluid.
Abstract: A Planar Inverted-F Wing Antenna (PIFWA) device, system, and method used for commercial and residential induction cooking tops, ovens, combo-steamers, and pressure cookers. The outline of the PIFWA is an isosceles triangle with a truncated vertex end opposite the base side. The PIFWA transmits and receives (TX/RX) signals with wireless sensors including Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices. The antenna comprises a device, system, and method to monitor the cooking process and temperature of food. Embodiments of the PIFWA antenna operate at about 433 MHz, have a feed between two slots, and a shorting plate at the opposing end. Antenna location and alignment within the culinary appliance provides uniform signal strength and gain performance in the regions occupied by one or more sensors.
Abstract: A rail nut spacer is shown and described, and may have a body and one or more threaded inserts positioned along a width of the body. Threaded inserts may be retained within the rail nut spacer by surface characteristics on each insert to prevent movement thereof with respect to the rail nut spacer. The rail nut spacer may be inserted in a first direction into a slot extending through a width of a housing, such that the slot prevents movement of the rail nut spacer in a second direction. Fasteners may extend through a bezel, through the slot, and/or through the threaded inserts to secure the bezel to the rail nut spacer. The bezel may exert a force on a media to secure the media to the housing. The bezel, media, and/or housing may be sealed together by a gasket to protect an interior of the housing from contaminants.
Abstract: There is provided herein a composition which contains hydride-functionalized siloxane or silane, a hydroxyl-containing compound that does not contain silicon, and a catalytically-effective amount of super acid or super base catalyst selected from the group consisting of a triaza-containing compound which contains only carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen atoms, an atrane compound, a linear or branched compound containing a sulfonyl group and a fluoro group, and combinations thereof. There is also provided a process of making such a composition.

Abstract: A lamp having the thermal sensing elements disposed at optimal positions includes a heat sink, a light-emitting module and a power supply module. The heat sink includes a plurality of heat dissipating fins, and a heat dissipating channel formed between each two of the plurality of heat dissipating fins, therefore forms an accommodating space. The power supply module is disposed in the accommodating space. The power supply module includes a conductive base and a controlling module. The power source module and thermal sensitive elements are disposed at the lamp cold zone. First thermal sensing elements of the controlling module are disposed at the lamp heat zone to sense the first operating temperature. A processing unit of the control module lowers the output power of the power source module to the light-emitting module when the first operating temperature is greater than or equal to a first critical operating temperature.
Abstract: A medical tube that contains a polymer composition that is generally flexible and biocompatible is provided. The polymer composition contains at least one ethylene vinyl acetate polymer and at least one viscoelastic additive. By selectively controlling specific aspects of the ethylene vinyl acetate polymer (e.g., vinyl acetate content, melt flow index, density, etc.), the viscoelastic additive, and the manner in which they are blended, the resulting composition can exhibit a reduced tendency to kink when formed into the medical tube.

Abstract: A hydrophilic silicone polymer composition suitable for use in producing hydrogel polymer films disclosed. In one aspect, a hydrophilic silicone monomer is of the Formula 1: wAmBnw??(1) where A is a divalent block comprising a silicone-containing pendant group. In one embodiment, the silicone-containing pendant group comprises polyalkylene oxide groups. The structure of the polymer can be controlled and tuned to provide a material with excellent wettability and oxygen permeability. The polymers are suitable for use in a variety of applications including in providing a film for forming contact lenses.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to bearing and seal assemblies comprising a composite structure which includes a substrate and a layer disposed on the substrate. The layer disposed on the substrate includes a polyimide matrix and a filler dispersed within the polyimide matrix. The filler can be a thermoplastic polymer, such as PTFE, and/or an organic filler. The bearing assembly can exhibit a synergistic improvement in wear resistance and coefficient of friction.
Abstract: A pervaporation membrane may be an acid-resistant polybenzidimazole (PBI) membrane. The acid-resistant PBI membrane may be a PBI membrane chemically modified by a process selected from the group consisting of sulfonation, phosphonation, cross-linking, N-substitution, and/or combinations thereof. The membrane may be thermally stabilized. A method for the dehydration of an acid material may include the steps of: contacting an acidic aqueous solution with a membrane of an acid-resistant polybenzidimazole; taking away a permeate stream rich in water; and taking away a concentrate steam rich in the acid material. The acidic aqueous solution may be acetic acid.
