Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for analyzing an activity session. Data from a monitoring device worn by a user of the system for example is received over a period of time or distance and a classification system of the invention is utilized in real time or post session to determine the activities performed by the user during the session. The data collected relates to multiple parameters monitored during the activity session. The classification system defines an activity using a set of threshold criteria for a combination of parameters and therefore identifies a particular activity performed during the activity session when a combination of monitored parameters satisfies the threshold criteria for a particular activity. Determining the activities performed in this way allows for more useful interpretation of the data which in turn leads to more effective coaching advice and feedback for the user.

Abstract: The present invention provides curable compositions that are substantially free of metal catalysts including both tin and non-tin metal catalysts. The curable compositions employ a catalyst system comprising the combination of a carboxylic acid, an amino-containing adhesion promoter or a mixture of amine-containing adhesion promoters and an amino-containing siloxane. The combination of these materials accelerates the condensation curing of moisture curable silicones/non-silicones even in the absence of a metal-based catalyst.
Abstract: The invention herein is directed to a process for producing isocyanatoorganosilanes having low color and improved color stability over known isocyanatosilanes involving a neutralizing step in which a carbamatoorganosilane intermediate is neutralized with acid to a pH equal to or greater than 6.0, to the isocyanatosilane produced by said process and to coatings and numerous other industrial applications which are useful in numerous industries containing the isocyanatoorganosilane produced by the process.

Abstract: The present invention provides curable compositions comprising non-tin metal accelerators that accelerate the condensation curing of moisture-curable silicones/non-silicones. In particular, the present invention provides an accelerator comprising guanidine-containing compounds that are particularly suitable as replacements for organotin in sealant and RTV formulations. Further, the compositions employing a guanidine-containing compound is comparable or superior to organotin such as DBTDL, exhibits certain behavior in the presence of components that allow for tuning or adjusting the cure characteristics of the compositions, and provides good adhesion and storage stability.
Abstract: Compositions and methods for the production of siloxane materials using an azaphosphatrane as a catalyst. In one embodiment, there is provided a process for the ring opening polymerization of a cyclosiloxane in the presence of an azaphosphatrane. In another embodiment, there is provided a composition and method for condensation curing of a moisture curable composition using an azaphosphatrane.

Abstract: Filter capsules for showers and sinks used in surgical settings, clean rooms and other contaminant-sensitive settings having modified outlets for improved splash control. Flat, concave, convex, asymmetric concave and asymmetric convex outlet inserts have pluralities of fluid bores with varying orientations to permit enhanced fluid flow control out of the filter capsules including divergent, convergent and mixed divergent/convergent fluid flows. An inlet with an axis offset at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the filter capsule body permits user control over the fluid flow strike point in a sink or shower stall via rotation of the capsule about the inlet connection point. A recessed outlet improves the prevention of contaminant dispersal by recessing the outlet away from contact points and potential contaminant sources.
Abstract: A shock absorber is disclosed herein with a frequency sensitive damping force that includes a cylinder containing a damping medium, a piston rod which is axially movable in the cylinder, and a piston assembly arranged for axial movement in the damping medium. The piston assembly is connected to the piston rod and divides the cylinder in a working space on each side of the piston. The piston assembly includes a flow path fluidly coupled to a frequency sensitive element movable relative to the piston assembly.
Abstract: A cargo accessory system is shown and described. The cargo accessory system may include a hitch mounting member, and a cargo accessory carrier attached to the hitch mounting member, where the cargo accessory carrier is configured to carry cargo. The cargo accessory system may also include a visual indicator incorporated with the cargo accessory carrier. The visual indicator may include a compatibility indicator identifying at least one hitch receiver to which the hitch member is capable of attaching, and a weight capacity identifying a load capacity of the cargo accessory carrier when the hitch mounting member is attached to the at least one hitch receiver.

Abstract: A therapeutic, fitness, and sports enhancement device which includes a cylindrically shaped body having a predetermined density and predetermined diameter, the body including a plurality of projections of a predetermined shape. One or more of the predetermined density and the predetermined diameter in combination with the predetermined shape of the projections optimize mobilization of soft tissue structures of the human body.
Abstract: A bearing includes a first member having a passageway configured to engage a shaft, the first member having a metallic material; and a second member disposed around at least a portion of the first member, the second member having a metallic material and at least one radially and inwardly bent portion capable of restricting axial movement of the first member. The first and second members are movable relative to each other.
Abstract: A process for making a hydrogel forming material from a kraft or sulfite pulping process cellulosic pulp slurry by extracting hemicellulose heteropolymers from the cellulosic pulp slurry as a hemicaustic extract by treating the cellulosic pulp slurry with a cold caustic solution, then isolating the hemicaustic extract and preparing a mixture of the hemicellulose extract and a derivatizing agent comprised of a monofunctional etherifying agent and/or a polyfunctional organic cross-linking agent, and reacting the mixture to produce the hydrogel forming material. A polyvalent metal cross-linking agent can optionally be reacted with the hydrogel forming material to enhance its gel strength.
Abstract: A retractable wall mounted exercise rack system for providing an exercise rack that may be easily and compactly stored when not in use. The retractable wall mounted exercise rack system generally includes one or more brackets attached to a wall, a pair of support members, and a plurality of arms pivotally extending from the brackets and pivotally connecting to the support members. One or more actuators are connected between the brackets and the arms to assist in lifting the structure into a compact retracted position for storage.
Abstract: An LED lamp is placed in service on an automotive vehicle to enhance nighttime visual ability or anywhere where increased lighting is needed. The LED lamp utilizes a multi-stage power and control design, where the LED drive current is managed by an LED constant current controller that is coupled to a microprocessor that commands the intensity value of an LED array. The microprocessor manages the light intensity of the LED array using well known pulse-width modulation control methods. The microprocessor measures the voltage of the DC power source and to detect when DC power is removed. Once this detection has occurred, the microprocessor signals the LED current controller to change the current operational mode being delivered to the LED array to the next available operational mode, or alternatively, to the next appropriate operational mode to be used as determined by software stored within the microprocessor.
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring and controlling an energy demand by an HVAC system utilizes a control device that is operably installed in the HVAC system. The system performs the following steps: receiving, in a control device, values of one or more parameters related to performance of the plurality of powered components; comparing the received values with corresponding predetermined threshold values; determining overloading of the electrical grid by a powered component based on respective values of one or more parameters being less than the corresponding predetermined threshold values for the powered component; and selectively controlling the operation of the powered component without disrupting operation of the remaining plurality of powered components.
