  • Patent number: 6707915
Abstract: A method of transferring a data packet from a providing communication terminal to a requesting communication terminal, wherein the requesting communication terminal transfers a message to the providing communication terminal including a requests for receiving the data packet and a first unique identification code identifying the requesting communication terminal. Upon receipt of the message the providing communication terminal verifies the validity of the first unique Identification code. When the verification has been ended successfully, the providing communication terminal responds by transferring a message to the requesting communication terminal including the requested data packet and a second unique identification code, Then the requesting communication terminal verifies the validity of the second unique identification code and stores the data packet accordingly when the verification has been successful.

  • Patent number: 6696902
Abstract: A circuit interfacing a balanced RF power amplifier with unbalanced load has a first shunt inductor and a series capacitor connected to a first output and a first shunt capacitor and series inductor connected to a second output of amplifier. The circuit comprises a second shunt inductor connected to the second output and feeding current to the second output. The first shunt capacitor may correspond to a sum of capacitors required to resonate with the series inductor and second shunt inductor. The second shunt inductor may exceed a value required to resonate with the capacitance of the first shunt capacitor less the capacitance required to resonate with the series inductor, by the same amount as the first shunt inductor exceeds the value required to resonate with the series capacitor. The circuit may further comprise a second shunt capacitor connected to first output, whereby first shunt capacitor exceeds sum of capacitors required to resonate with series inductor and second shunt inductor.

  • Patent number: 6697483
Abstract: A method of searching an electronic phonebook of a cellular phone, where the phonebook contains a multiplicity of names each being made up of one or more alphanumeric characters. The method comprises defining a search template by selecting a letter from a displayed list of the alphabet. The set of distinct data strings, present at the beginning of stored names, which commence with said template and which differ from one another by only their final character, are then identified. The user then selects one of said set of data strings as a new search template. If the number of names matching the new search template is less than some predefined number, then those names are displayed. If not, then the process is repeated using the new extended template.

  • Patent number: 6667963
Abstract: A cellular radio network based positioning system for determining the position of a mobile station (16). For each base transceiver station (1 to 5) or cell of the network, a fixed list of base transceiver stations is stored by a Mobile Positioning Centre (13). Each list identifies those base transceiver stations which enable the position of a mobile station served by the corresponding base transceiver station (6) to be optimally determined. The list is transmitted to the mobile station (16) via the serving base transceiver station (6) together with a list of respective real time differences which exist between the serving base transceiver stations and the listed base transceiver stations. The mobile station determines an observed time difference for each of the listed base transceiver stations, relative to the serving base transceiver station (6), from signals broadcast by the listed base transceiver stations.
