Abstract: Known adjusting devices, in a drive motor and subsequent gearing which is arranged in a housing and closed by a lid, have conductors to produce contact of a motor, a plug, or an electronic control system, which conductors are welded to the corresponding mating contacts or are embodied as corresponding plug contacts. According to the invention conductors are employed as a stamped grid and sheathed with the plastic of a lid. Moreover the opposite ends of the conductors are likewise sheathed by a plastic of the housing. Non-sheathed sections of the conductors arranged between the two housing parts serve according to the invention as a hinge to produce the defined opening and closing of the lid relative to the housing. Moreover, the entire electronic control system with an angle sensor and power transistors is integrated in the lid by injection molding.

  • Publication number: 20070109748
Abstract: The invention relates to an adjusting device (1) which is characterized in that electrical contact is made by means of substantially exposed conductor tracks (12, 14) which are linked with a housing (9) of the adjusting device (1) merely in a positive fit. The conductor tracks (12, 14) are introduced by introducing a continuous perforation comb (13) and severing the webs (22) connecting the individual conductor tracks (12, 14) in an additional step. The inventive adjusting device is advantageous in that while having structurally identical housing components (9), it allows to replace the conductor tracks (12, 14) only or embody them differently, depending on how many contacts are required. It is therefore possible to adapt the conductor tracks to corresponding connector types or different position detecting devices without having to replace the entire board or housing (9) while ensuring an extremely reliable contacting.

  • Patent number: 7213556
Abstract: Flap bearing mountings of the present invention are for mounting flap devices (5), such as switch-over, tumble, or swirl flap devices, on a housing (2) of an air intake port system (1) of a combustion engine. Mounting of flap devices (5) is accomplished by thermoforming projections (19) that are formed on bearing elements (10) of the flap device (5) and that extend through corresponding apertures (20) formed in the housing (2) of the air intake port system (1) of a combustion engine. This structure makes it possible to cost-effectively and precisely mount one-piece flap shafts (6, 7) in all air intake port systems (1), without having to use additional mounting elements. Through the exact, precise fixing of the mounted position, deformation of the shaft (6, 7), having flap bodies (8) arranged thereon, is reliably prevented and the service life of the entire flap device (5) is prolonged.

  • Patent number: 7213587
Abstract: An adjustable two-way valve device is described that is embodied as a rotary valve. According to the invention the use of the rotary valve as a two-way valve is achieved by the skillful arrangement of passage openings of a valve plate with respect to control openings of a valve element. Thus it is possible to control mass or mixed flows independently of or dependent on one another with only one valve element. In particular a use in the field of exhaust gas recirculation with a bypass line and an exhaust gas cooler is advantageous, since mixed flows and thus temperatures can be run.

  • Publication number: 20070068663
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger with a channel (4) through which cooling agent flows and a channel (3) through which fluid to be cooled flows, whereby ribs (6) project into at least one of the channels (3, 4). According to the invention, these ribs (6) feature a linear approach edge (11) and a linear flow-off edge (15), whereby the side walls (12) run continuously between the approach edge (11) and the flow-off edge (15). By these means it is achieved that a turbulent boundary layer forms at the ribs, which boundary layer ends in a turbulent eddy in the area of the flow-off edge (15). This leads to an increased efficiency of the heat exchanger and simultaneously to a good homogenization of the fluid. Moreover, sooting is reliably avoided.

  • Publication number: 20070051105
Abstract: The invention describes a bypass valve (1) that can be used as a divert air valve. Bypass valves (1) that work in the closed or opened position in a force-balanced or pressure-balanced manner are known. During the opening of the bypass valve (1), a lower pressure is produced in a gap (25) between a valve closing body (3) and a valve seat (20), which pressure destroys the force balance and thus loads a movable valve unit (2) in the closing direction. In order to prevent this, according to the invention pressure equalization openings (24) are embodied or arranged with respect to the gap (25) in such a way that a reduced pressure is introduced into the chambers (7, 8) in the interior of the valve, so that the closing-operative force is distinctly reduced. By these means, the opening times of such a bypass valve can be distinctly reduced.

  • Patent number: 7077114
Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation system for a combustion engine is proposed that includes all important functions within a housing. For this purpose an exhaust gas recirculation valve, an exhaust gas cooling device with a heat exchanger unit, as well as a bypass channel with a bypass flap likewise embodied in the housing, form a unit. In addition, the exhaust gas recirculation valve in the area of its valve seat is cooled by the coolant of the exhaust gas cooling device. Thus a solution is proposed that, in comparison with known exhaust gas recirculation systems, greatly reduces construction space and weight, at the same time features low-cost assembly, and is also to be implemented very cost-effectively by the possibility of producing all housing parts in the die-casting method.

Abstract: The present invention describes an imbalance compensation element featuring spring arms for fixing onto a shaft, and that grooves in which an anaerobic adhesive can distribute itself for fixing the imbalance compensation element on a motor shaft. One embodiment includes a pump with such an imbalance compensation element. In a method for balancing such electric pumps, the axial and radial oscillation accelerations as well as the oscillation angular position of a running pump are measured. In accordance with these measurements and the balance class and balance angle values ascertained therefrom, an imbalance compensation element is fixed on the shaft. Through this invention the time and cost required for balancing pumps driven by electric motors can be reduced and the acoustic emissions can be distinctly reduced when such a pump is installed on a housing.
