Abstract: Wireless charging transfer devices are described herein that are configured to achieve wireless charging of portable electronic devices across a gap from a wireless charger. The devices include coil configuration including a receiver coil, a transmitter coil, and a bridge electrically coupling the receiver and transmitter coils across the gap. The coil configuration can be received within a housing that can provide storage space or can incorporate an expandable grip accessory.
Abstract: A fidget accessory which includes a plurality of stones that geometrically cooperate with a bowl. The bowl includes a bowl base on which the plurality of stones are configured to be arranged in a base orientation. The bowl includes a bowl lip circumferentially surrounding a top edge of the bowl, and a bowl ramp extending between the bowl lip and the bowl base. One or more magnets in the bowl base have a polarity opposite to corresponding magnets in the plurality of stones such that the plurality of stone are magnetically engaged with the bowl.

Abstract: Induction charging devices and methods are disclosed for a portable electronic device that has a reception coil coupled to a power source and an outwardly projecting attachment mounted thereon. In some versions, the devices include a housing having a wall with an outwardly facing charging surface and a recess sized to receive the attachment with the portable electronic device disposed on the charging surface. In some versions, devices can include an attachment device coupled to a rear of a housing that can releasably secure to a portion of a vehicle and a mount coupled to a front of the housing configured to receive a portion of the attachment therein to secure the portable electronic device to the housing. A charging assembly within the housing can include a transmission coil disposed so that with the recess or mount receiving the attachment therein, the transmission and reception coils are sufficiently aligned to charge the power source of the portable electronic device.

Abstract: An expandable device for use with a portable electronic device includes a body, a button, a platform, and a locking device. The body has a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis, and is movable between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. The button is coupled to the first end of the body, and the platform includes an outer surface and a collar extending away from the outer surface. The collar defines a cavity. The locking device is carried by the second end of the body, and at least a portion of the locking device is adapted to be removably disposed in the cavity of the platform for releasably coupling the body to the platform. The locking device is rotatable relative to the platform between an unlocked configuration, in which the body is removable from the platform, and a locked configuration, in which the body is secured to the platform.

Abstract: An expandable accessory for attachment to a mobile electronic device. The expandable accessory includes a base, a membrane, and a button coupled to the membrane opposite the base. The membrane includes a plurality of linear wall segments. The membrane is movable between a collapsed position and an expanded position, and when the membrane is in the expanded position, the plurality of linear wall segments are arranged in a common conical plane.
Abstract: An accessory includes a band member and a button. The band member includes an elongated body defining a band interior cavity containing a fluid (gas or liquid) and further includes a band contact region formed along a length of the elongated body. The button has top and bottom portions and a body extending therebetween. The bottom portion is operably coupled to the band member. The body defines a button interior cavity that is in fluid communication with the band interior cavity, and further includes an expandable mechanism that includes first and second ends and a longitudinal axis. The expandable mechanism is movable between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration to selectively move the button between an expanded position and a collapsed position. Upon engaging the band contact region, the fluid urges the button to the expanded position.
Abstract: Portable computing devices, software operating on and stored in such devices, and methods are described that utilize an image segmentation process for subsequent image alteration. Components of the computing device can sense or measure an input to apply a visual effect to masked and/or unmasked portions of an image or portions of a second image corresponding to the masked or unmasked portions of the image.

Abstract: Extending sockets, formed of accordions generally with buttons attached at their distal ends, for attaching to portable media players or portable media player cases. Cases having attached sockets serve purposes beyond protection of the player, such as managing a headset, attaching to belts or the like, forming stand legs to prop the player at a desired angle, forming grips for gaming, forming a grip for securely holding and manipulating player with one hand, and forming extended legs for wedging players that are phones between the ear and shoulder. The sockets are structured to allow headset cords to be wound around the accordions when the sockets are extended, to prevent the cords from tangling. Space in an attached case may be provided so that the sockets may be partially or fully retracted with headphone cords wrapped around them to save space.
