The expandable socket includes a button coupled to the skin opposite the platform. The expandable socket also includes a biasing element arranged within the skin between the platform and the button, the biasing element configured to bias the skin into the expanded configuration.

Abstract: A docking platform formed for detachable attachment to a largest-surface-area surface of a mobile electronic device. Such a docking platform may comprise a docking accessory connection system having one or more docking connectors, and optionally two or more electrical contacts therein, the contacts electrically connected to an electronics assembly within the docking platform and constructed and arranged to allow electrical connection to detachable docking accessories. The docking accessory connection system is operable to form detachable attachments to multiple independent docking accessories simultaneously. The docking platform may assist in providing interoperability between connected/linked docking accessories. One type of accessory forms an assembly with an expandable accordion attached to the docking platform.

Abstract: A quick-release package includes a box enclosure and an insert. The insert slides into the open bottom of the box enclosure, and includes a locking extension which slides into a slot on the top of the box enclosure and locks the insert into place. The slot forms a wide portion toward the back surface of the box enclosure and a narrower button release portion toward the front surface of the box enclosure. The insert locking extension includes a button configured to catch on the back surface of the wider portion of the top slot in a first position and which, when pressed, moves into the button release portion of the slot and releases the locking extension and hence the insert from the box enclosure.
