    Abstract: A fitment tape machine for forming a roll of tape having fitments for use in a flexible pouch is provided. The machine includes a conveyor operable to feed a bottom sheet of material along an axis from upstream the conveyor to downstream the conveyor. A cold press having a head is disposed above the sheet of material and operable to engage the sheet of material so as to urge the head into the sheet of material and form a detent operable to hold a sidewall of a fitment. A fitment dispensing device disposed downstream the cold press is operable to insert a fitment into the detent. A top film dispenser, disposed downstream the fitment dispensing device is operable to apply a top film of material onto the fitment so as to place the fitment between the top film of material and the bottom sheet of material.

The contours are further operable to prevent the formation of wrinkles along the edges of the pouch body. A method for forming a pouch and operable to prevent ketones from entering the pouch body is also provided.

    Abstract: A multi-compartment flexible pouch with an insulated compartment and method of forming includes a pouch body formed from a panel of material, and the pouch body has at least one compartment for a product. An opening means for accessing the product is disposed in the pouch body. A first insulating compartment seal having a predetermined shape is applied to the pouch body and a second insulating compartment seal having a predetermined shape is applied to the pouch body and spaced a predetermined distance apart from the first seal to form the insulated compartment. The insulated compartment contains a pressurized gas and a surface temperature of the insulated compartment is less than a surface temperature of the product compartment after the pouch is heated.

    Abstract: A method for forming a flexible pouch having a fitment, the method including the steps of sealing the bottom, top and one side of a material to form a pouch. The pouch is formed around a forming tube, leaving one side of the flexible pouch unsealed. A fitment is installed on the flexible pouch, either on the corner (45 degree angle) or on the top of the pouch. The product filled through the unsealed side of the flexible pouch while continuously moving the flexible pouch down the forming tube, the forming tube also continuously supplying product to fill the flexible pouch and sealing the unsealed side of the flexible pouch. An apparatus for forming a flexible pouch is provided having a forming tube. The forming tube is adapted to allow material to wrap around the forming tube to form a flexible pouch, the forming tube also operable to dispense product into the flexible pouch through an exit of the forming tube.

The cap includes a resealable configuration, such as a lid, allowing the user to reseal the pouch after use. The canoe and pump are a once piece configuration.

    Abstract: A flexible pouch with a tube spout fitment and removable cap. The flexible pouch has a panel with an aperture and a tube spout fitment that extends through the aperture. The tube spout fitment has a first circumferential ridge with a first diameter and a second circumferential ridge with a second diameter. Also, the second diameter is larger than the first diameter. A dispensing cap is attached to the tube spout fitment. The dispensing cap has a first temporary snap position fitting over the first circumferential ridge of the tube spout fitment and a second permanent snap position fitting over the second circumferential ridge. In this manner, the dispensing cap can be temporarily attached to the pouch during storage, shipping and the like, removed prior to filling the flexible pouch with product, and then permanently attached after the pouch has been filled with product.

The apparatus for packaging patties into a flexible pouch, the apparatus comprising a stacker, a patty holder, a vacuum is further positioned adjacent to the patty holder, the vacuum operable to remove the air from the flexible pouch. A frangible seal creator is also provided operable to create a frangible seal on the flexible pouch.
