  • Patent number: 12363722
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates in first and second search space (SS) sets may be located in a same slot. When both SS sets have the same periodicity and the same offset, the UE may determine that SS sets are linked. The UE may expect the same number of monitoring occasions for each SS set within the slot, and may determine that a monitoring occasion in the first SS set having a first index value is linked with a monitoring occasion in the second SS set that has the same index value. The UE may determine that monitoring occasions for the different SS sets that have the same periodicity but different offsets are located in different slots, and that rules are satisfied such that a first PDCCH repetition is located in an earlier slot than the second PDDCH repetition.

  • Patent number: 12363760
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may perform a random access (RACH) procedure based on a selected synchronization signal block (SSB). During this RACH procedure, a base station may transmit physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) messages for UE RACH message handling. To receive PDCCH signaling for RACH Messages 2, 3, or 4 (Msg 2/3/4), the UE may identify a set of time resources used by the base station for transmitting SSBs that are not quasi-co-located (QCL) with the selected SSB. The UE may identify a Msg 2/3/4 search space that does not overlap with this identified set of resources, and may monitor this identified search space. The search space may correspond to a modified remaining minimum system information (RMSI) search space indicated by the base station, or a valid RMSI search space not indicated by the base station.

  • Patent number: 12362854
Abstract: In a probabilistic amplitude shaping (PAS) system, a distribution matching (DM) component may receive a uniform bit sequence with equal probabilities, which may be converted into symbols with a desired probability distribution (e.g., Gaussian). For example, the probability distribution may use inner constellation points associated with a lower energy and/or power more frequently and outer constellation points associated with a higher energy and/or power less frequently. In general, the DM component may map binary bits to positive amplitudes with a non-uniform distribution according to a DM rate that is based at least in part on a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which may vary significantly in a spatial and frequency selective wireless channel. Accordingly, some aspects described herein relate to configuring DM parameters and codeword and resource mappings in a spatial and frequency selective wireless channel.

  • Patent number: 12360765
Abstract: Aspects disclosed in the detailed description include a processing unit (PU) employing micro-operations (micro-ops) random access memory (RAM) as main program memory. The micro-ops RAM comprises row circuits each associated with a micro-op and configured to store control signal parameters and output ports configured to be coupled to a register file and one or more execution units. In contrast to fetching and decoding instructions of an ISA in a conventional PU, the processing unit loads a main program comprising micro-ops into the row circuits of the micro-ops RAM. When executing an individual micro-op of the main program, the processing unit activates a row circuit in the micro-ops RAM to cause its stored control signal parameters to be communicated through the output ports of the micro-ops RAM to the register file and/or the one or more execution units and avoids the need for a decoding stage circuit, advantageously decreasing processing latency.

  • Patent number: 12363734
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for beamforming in wireless communications. Some implementations more specifically relate to beamforming configurations for multicast communications. A transmitting device may transmit multicast data to multiple receiving devices, concurrently, via a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The PDSCH may be preceded by a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The PDCCH may provide scheduling information for the PDSCH, including a multicast beam associated with the PDSCH and a timing offset or delay between the PDCCH and the PDSCH. A receiving device may determine that the PDSCH contains multicast data based on an indication in the PDCCH. To receive the PDSCH, each receiving device may tune its antennas in a direction of the scheduled multicast beam or a default beam based on the delay between the PDCCH and the PDSCH.

  • Patent number: 12361277
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more encoding operations to use for encoding a compressed dataset, the one or more encoding operations including a differential encoding operation, or an entropy encoding operation, or both. In some examples, using a neural network, the UE may first encode a dataset based on an additional encoding operation to generate a compressed dataset and then quantize the compressed dataset encoded based on the additional encoding operation. Subsequently, after the dataset has been initially encoded and then quantized, the UE may use the indication of the one or more encoding operations to further encode and compress the dataset. The UE may then transmit the dataset to a second device based on the one or more encoding operations.

  • Patent number: 12362269
Abstract: Integrated circuit (IC) packages employing a supplemental metal layer coupled to embedded metal traces in a die-side embedded trace substrate (ETS) layer to reduce metal density mismatch, and related fabrication methods. An IC package includes a semiconductor die (“die”) electrically coupled to a package substrate. The package substrate includes a die-side ETS metallization layer adjacent to and coupled to the die.
