Patent number: 8050810Abstract: A method of controlling a hybrid vehicle with an engine, a battery, and at least one motor generator. System efficiencies of each of several candidate driving states are calculated. Calculating efficiency when the battery is discharged uses power of the engine Pfuel, power drawn from the battery Pb,out, and required driving power Pdemand. Calculating efficiency when the battery is charged uses Pfuel, Pdemand, and power charged to the battery Pb,in. Pb,out is calculated using a real battery discharge power Pb,out, real, a battery discharge energy efficiency ?bd, a historic efficiency ?b,pwr of energy loss when the battery is charged, and a correction coefficient SOCcorrection for controlling the battery charge amount. Pb,in is calculated using real battery charge power Pb,in,real, battery charge energy efficiency ?bc, ?bd, and efficiency ?in,pwr when power is consumed in the future. The driving state with the highest efficiency is then selected.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2007Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignees: Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Motor Japan R&D Center Inc., Kia Motors CorporationInventor: Teruyoshi Egoshi

Publication number: 20110252424Abstract: A system and method for detecting deadlock in multithread program is provided. The method includes: selecting the thread to be detected; initiating a tracking program to track the thread running in a kernel; initiating a target multithread program; determining whether the selected thread is running; dynamically inserting a probe in the database in order to detect the selected thread through the instrument function. The instrument function records the detected data, and when the recorded data goes beyond the threshold value of the kernel, the data is transmitted to the user space which stores the data, and analyzing the data stored in the user space to judge whether deadlock has been generated. Accordingly, it is possible to detect deadlock efficiently, without the source code of the target program. This is beneficial to a debug task of the multithread and is beneficial to analysis of the usage of the source by the multithread program.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2011Publication date: October 13, 2011Applicants: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS (CHINA) R&D CENTER, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Zhigang SHEN, Feng TIAN

Publication number: 20110235682Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for determining reference signals. A User Equipment (UE) obtains group hopping information and/or sequence hopping information of a UE-specific reference signal from cell-specific system information broadcasted by an eNB. The UE receives UE-specific control information transmitted by the eNB to the UE. The UE generates a UE-specific reference signal of a first slot according to the group hopping information and/or sequence hopping information of the broadcasted cell-specific reference signal. If the UE-specific control information indicates that group hopping and/or sequence hopping of UE-specific reference signals is disabled, the UE generates a UE-specific reference signal of a second slot in a same frame with the first slot according to the UE-specific reference signal of the first slot. The UE is able to determine the reference signals when multiple UEs share physical resource blocks.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 25, 2011Publication date: September 29, 2011Applicants: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD., BEIJING SAMSUNG TELECOM R & D CENTERInventors: Hong He, Yingyang Li, Chengjun Sun

Patent number: 8009691Abstract: Provided is a method for transmitting 1x paging information through an HRPD network and responding to the 1x paging information by a dual-mode MS/AT. After the MS/AT turns to an HRPD network and informs an MSC of related information, if some 1x paging information arrives, the MSC sends a message indicating 1x service arrival to the PCF. An HRPD AN bears the 1x service arrival message that carries calling information sent from the PCF in the 1x service packet to send to the MS/AT. If the user, receiving the 1x service arrival message, chooses to accept a 1x call, the MS/AT terminates the service in the HRPD network and turns to the 1x network to send a “paging response” message to a 1x BS.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2006Date of Patent: August 30, 2011Assignees: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, Beijing Samsung Telecom R&D CenterInventor: Weimin Liu

Patent number: 7990930Abstract: A HRPD network access authentication method based on CAVE algorithm is provided. An AT (Access Terminal) generates a random number “RAND” necessary for a calculation of an AUTH1 by using a “Random text” included in the CHAP Challenge message. A UIM (User Identity Module) card works out the AUTH1 by using the random number “RAND” and an SSD_A (Shared Secret Data A) in the UIM card. The AT carries the AUTH1 in a Result field of the CHAP Response message. An AN-AAA (Access Network-Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) generates the random number “RAND” necessary for the calculation of an AUTH2 by using a “Random text” included in a Radius Access Request message. The AN-AAA works out the AUTH2 by using the random number “RAND”. The two results AUTH1 and AUTH2 are compared. If the results are the same, the authentication on the AT passes. Otherwise, AT access is rejected.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2009Date of Patent: August 2, 2011Assignees: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Beijing Samsung Telecom R&D CenterInventor: Weimin Liu
