  • Publication number: 20100108420
Abstract: A method of controlling clutch transfer torque in a hybrid vehicle comprises estimating clutch characteristics from a relation between a control current for a clutch hydraulic valve and a clutch transfer torque corresponding to the control current for the clutch hydraulic valve. With the method, a clutch friction coefficient can be precisely estimated, thereby reducing/eliminating a shock that can occur in the event of the clutch going on or off.

  • Publication number: 20100097973
Abstract: An apparatus and method for idle mode notification in a cellular communications system is provided. A user transmits, prior to entering an idle mode, a de-registration request message to a Base Station (BS) which then transmits a Dynamic Service Addition REQuest (DSA-REQ) message to the user and adds the user to a multicast group for the idle mode, and enters the idle mode. The BS transmits an idle mode notification to the user using a Multicast/Broadcast Service MAP (MBS_MAP), and the user receives the idle mode notification, wherein the user switches to a unicast carrier to perform network reentry if the idle mode notification is a network reentry notification. The idle mode notification is considered as a service of an MBS type. When a user enters the idle mode, the BS actively invites the user to join the multicast group for idle mode notification if the MBS operates on a dedicated carrier.

  • Patent number: 7694423
Abstract: A pair of western scissors include opposing scissor pieces that are supported by a pivotal center portion to allow the scissor pieces to open and close with respect to each other. A fingerhook ring is provided in each of opposing handle portions provided in the corresponding scissor pieces. The fingerhook ring has a plurality of elastic projections that are parallel and extend outward. Grooves are defined between each adjacent pair of the elastic projections as deformation allowing spaces. A finger receiving portion is formed by the outer ends of the elastic projections and the openings of the grooves exposed between each adjacent pair of the outer ends. The elastic projections are deformable by the force applied by a finger to the finger receiving portion.

  • Patent number: 7664503
Abstract: A method of signaling bearer connection on Iu interface for MBMS service, includes the following steps: (a) RNC receives a MBMS Notification message for a certain MBMS service from SGSN; (b) RNC constructs a MBMS Service Request message according to the contents of the notification; (c) RNC sends a SCCP Connection Request message to SGSN, requests to establish a SCCP signaling connection, and then waits for a reply; (d) RNC receives a SCCP Connection Confirmation message from SGSN. This invention solves the problem of signaling connection on Iu interface after MBMS service is introduced into the existing mobile communication system. The connection mode provided in this invention can reasonably utilize network resources, effectively reduce signaling congestion on Iu interface and reduce modifications to the existing Iu interface message.

  • Patent number: 7649995
Abstract: A method and device for authenticating a MS has an R-UIM by using CAVE Algorithm are provided. The hardware structure of the device includes a cdma2000/HRPD dual-mode chip, a User Identity Module supporting the CAVE algorithm. The dual-mode terminal forms the NAI value with the domain name stored in a memory of the dual-mode terminal in advance by the IMSI. The dual-mode terminal extracts a RAND that is necessary for the calculation of an authentication parameter1 from the Random values included in a Chap Challenge message, instructs the R-UIM card to use the CAVE algorithm to calculate the authentication parameter1 with the RAND and an existing SSD_A in the R-UIM card, and bears the authentication parameter1 by the Result domain of a Chap Response message. With the present invention, the wastes caused by the replacement of R-UIM cards can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 7630345
Abstract: A HRPD network access authentication method based on CAVE algorithm is proposed. An AT generates a random number “RAND” necessary for the calculation of AUTH1 by using the “Random text” included in the CHAP Challenge message. A UIM card works out the AUTH1 by using the random number “RAND” and the SSD_A in the UIM card. The AT carries the AUTH1 by the Result field of the CHAP Response message. The AN-AAA generates the random number “RAND” necessary for the calculation of AUTH2 by using the “Random text” included in the Radius Access Request message. The AN-AAA works out the AUTH2 by using the random number “RAND”. The two results AUTH1 and AUTH2 is compared. If they are just the same, the authentication on the AT passes. Otherwise, the AT is rejected to access.

  • Patent number: 7607013
Abstract: A method for Access Authentication in the High Rate Packet Data Network is proposed in the present invention comprising steps of the AN-AAA receiving the Radius Access Request message sent from the HRPD AN; the AN-AAA judging whether a terminal is a roaming one according to the Network Access ID and transmits the roaming terminal's authentication information to the terminal's home nerwork. If said terminal is a local one, the AN-AAA judges the type of the terminal according to the NAI value. If said terminal is a single-mode one, the AN-AAA works out the Result2 with the MD5 algorithm. if said terminal is in dual-mode, the AN-AAA calculates the Result2 with the CAVE algorithm to compare the Result1 with the Result2.
