  • Publication number: 20090204136
Abstract: A hand tool includes a holder and a movable head portion to which a blade body is secured. The movable head portion is supported by the holder in a manner movable relative to the holder between an accommodated state Q, in which the movable head portion is accommodated in the holder together with the blade body, and a projected state, in which the blade body is projected from the holder. The orientation N of the blade body in the accommodated state Q and the orientation N of the blade body in the projected state are different from each other. This improves operation of the blade body both in the accommodated state Q and the projected state and reduces the size of a front opening of the holder to provide a compact holder of the hand tool such as a medical edged tool.

  • Publication number: 20090171538
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for controlling a driving force of a hybrid electric vehicle which can reduce clutch engagement shock generated during transition from an electric operation mode to an internal combustion engine running mode. For this purpose, the present invention provides a driving force control system of a hybrid electric vehicle including an engine, a motor-generator and a clutch, in which at least one starter-generator directly connected to the engine. The output torques of the engine and the starter-generator are controlled so as to make a difference between the rotational speed of the engine and the rotational speed of the motor-generator reach a predetermined threshold value, and the clutch is engaged when the difference between the rotational speeds reach the value.

  • Patent number: 7527635
Abstract: In a surgical knife, a slider has an operating part through which the slider is operated. A surface of the operating part is exposed through a window hole of a guide groove and an arresting device for arresting the slider is released by urging the operating part linearly in a direction to be moved. The slider is moved by applying a forward or backward force to the operating part such that a cutter blade of the surgical knife can be moved between its projected position and its withdrawn position with respect to the holder when the holder is held by one hand. Accordingly, a user does not feel pain on his or her finger's when operating the cutter blade.

  • Patent number: 7516977
Abstract: The purpose of this invention is to enhance the stability of seat up-down adjustment and the aesthetics of a wheelchair. The mechanism is structured by the cart frame, the seat, the linking rod mechanism and the linear motion actuator. There are at least two linking rod mechanisms, each mechanism is composed of several connecting frames and pivot-linked with each others and remains two distal ends for connecting to the cart frame and the seat. The linear motion actuator connects the cart frame and the seat, moves the seat up and down smoothly with help from the stable supporting of the linking rod mechanism. The whole adjustment mechanism is confined in between the seat and the cart frame, which minimizes the needed space and makes a nice figure.
