Abstract: Providing for prioritization of applications operating on a client device with respect to access to online content or services is described herein. By way of example, the prioritizing can be correlated with allocation of network resources for respective applications. An application having higher priority can be allocated a larger amount of resources, a guaranteed amount of resources, a guaranteed quality of service, first access to resources, or the like. Likewise, an application with lower priority can be allocated a lower amount of resources, have best effort resources, access to residual resources, and so forth. In various embodiments, applications can be prioritized based on a status of the application with respect to the client device. As one illustrative example, applications actively receiving content, responding to user commands, or maximized or displayed on a graphic display can be afforded higher priority, whereas inactive or minimized applications can be afforded a lower priority.

Abstract: Providing for aggregate billing related to provisioning network access and network content to an application or device is described herein. By way of example, the application or device (e.g., a client, . . . ) can be provided network access at a discounted rate to access content of content provider. The network access can be general access, or can be limited access to one or more web-pages, domains, hosts, etc. in various embodiments. Charges for content consumed by the client can be an aggregated charge that includes charges for the content and charges for the network access. In various embodiments, network access can facilitate a relatively persistent connection to a network, with network access charges aggregated into charges for consumption of online content or utilization of online services, or vice versa.

Abstract: Monitoring client traffic at frequencies suitable to infer playback information of applications executing at the client device is described herein. By way of example, network traffic transmitted to a client application can be analyzed to determine an amount of traffic consumed by the client. Based on the amount of traffic and optionally network conditions observed by the client, a suitable resource level can be determined for conveying the traffic to the client. Adjustments to allocated resources can be made, where requested, to improve consumption rates of allocated resources. The resource level can be determined at a frequency suitable to identify changes in playback state of the client application, to provide changes in allocated resource that closely respond to changes in traffic demand.

Abstract: Providing for improved efficiency in delivery of content over a network is described herein. By way of example, a metric of communication related to electronic communication between a device and a network access point can be obtained and utilized to calculate or infer a resource load associated with delivering the content to the device. If the metric of communication indicates a resource load that exceeds a predetermined measure, a message can be sent to a content server originating the provisioning of content for the device. In particular aspects, the message can instruct the content server to reduce a resource-impacting characteristic of the content, or transmission of the content. The metric of communication can continue to be monitored, and the change to the resource-impacting characteristic can be maintained or revoked based on subsequent indications of the metric of communication.

The system can receive, from an application executing on a mobile device, requests to perform functions controlled by an operating system executing on the mobile device, and send status requests to an antiviral application executing on the mobile device in response to receiving the requests. The system can also receive antiviral status reports associated with the mobile device in response to sending the status request to the antiviral application, and thereafter can forward the antiviral status report to the application, wherein the antiviral status report is employed by the application to perform the functions on the mobile device.

Abstract: Techniques for providing automated real-time approved financial offers to communication devices associated with users are presented. An open credit exchange platform (OCEP) includes a credit management component that collects personal and financial information respectively associated with users. Financial service providers associated with the OCEP generate approved financial offers, based on the personal and financial information, and assessment criteria of the financial service provider, and provide these financial offers to the OCEP. The OCEP evaluates the financial offers directed to a user and identifies at least a preferred financial offer for presentation to the communication device of the user. If the user decides to accept the financial offer, the user can enter the user's electronic signature on a contract relating to the financial offer via the communication device, and the electronic signature can verify the user's electronic signature, to facilitate creating a legally binding contract.

The media sources can comprise a wireless broadcast media channel, a web site, a web data feed, and/or a wired broadcast channel for communication via a personalized video channel. A profile component can determine user profile data that includes user preferences associated with a first client device for the video content and the plurality of media sources. A control component can generate a set of viewing controls associated with the user profile data that control transmission of the video content via the personalized video channel. A streaming component is configured to communicate the set of predicted video content from the plurality of media sources to a mobile component via the personalized video channel based on the set of viewing controls and the user profile data.

Abstract: Video content is identified by a source component via a processor from a plurality of media sources comprising at least two of a wireless broadcast media channel, a web site, a web data feed, and/or a wired broadcast channel for communication via a personalized video channel. A demographic component is configured to classify a user device in a demographic class based on demographic data. A set of predicted video content is generated from the video content of the plurality of media sources based on the demographic data with a prediction component. A streaming component is configured to communicate the set of predicted video content from the plurality of media sources to a mobile component via the personalized video channel and re-configure the personalized video channel to communicate, at different times, the video content identified from different media sources of the plurality of media sources.

Abstract: Providing for external control of data network client resources for application-based client network access is described herein. By way of example, the external control can be implemented by a third party service provider in conjunction with delivery of content to the client devices. The external control can be provided over a network gateway, for instance, and facilitate a proxy access to resource allocation components of the data network, or alternatively a direct communication access between the resource allocation components and third party service provider. The external control enables a content service provider to allocate resources on an as-needed basis to subsets of client devices requesting such content. Billing for data network resources as well as for service provider content can be reconciled among the respective networks and client according to a predetermined billing arrangement.

Abstract: Disclosed are electronic systems and techniques for implementing an interactive financial interface that uses messages sent to and from financial institutions to view account information and interact with accounts at disparate financial institutions. The interactive financial interface can display balances of the accounts at the financial institutions, combined or individually, the interface can also show spending history, income history, and trend information which can be used to facilitate making financial decisions. Charts and graphs showing spending history and trends can also be sorted and filtered based on a number of criteria to better show relationships and patterns in the transaction history. Based on the trends and patterns, the interface can also provide recommendations to accomplish financial goals. The interface can also facilitate two-way communications with the financial institutions and instructions and commands can be sent to the financial institutions via the interface.

Various channels of video content are selected for viewing content. A channel is configured to communicate various programming according to video content and/or a media source. User profile data provides access to one or more of the media sources for video content. The user profile can include user preferences for content, times and/or media sources from which the content is viewed from. Multiple personalized channels can therefore be configured and personalized according to the user profile.

The financial interaction drives behaviors to affect a real-time credit risk, and provides direct feedback during the financial interaction. The system operates as a personal companion for assisting clients with personal financial decisions as well as personal interactions according to personal data and behavioral data learned about the user. Communications from the system can be initiated to facilitate a conversation according to data learned, such as personal data, user preference data, and behavioral data from different financial transactions. Based on continued interactions with the user, estimates can be made of a financial score and rewards or stimulus can be presented to the user.

Abstract: Disclosed are electronic systems and techniques for implementing a banking transaction and feed display system are provided that allow a user to visualize and interact with a financial transaction feed displayed on a mobile device. The feed displays a list of transactions made over a defined period of time, and the user selects different views, grouping the financial transactions by type, by recipient, by donor, by amount, and so on. The banking transaction and feed display system provides a rich set of tools to allow the user to customize the views and quickly display a desired format. The system also enables peer to peer payments to contacts stored in an address book on the mobile device.

Abstract: Techniques user or user device authentication using data based on social associations and interactions of users or user devices are presented herein. In an aspect, a method includes receiving social graph transaction history data associated with a user identity of a user and contact information associated with the user identity, wherein the social graph transaction history data includes data relating to usage of the contact information for communication between users via respective user devices. The method further includes analyzing the social graph transaction history data, and based on the analyzing, determining a degree of confidence that the user identity is authentic.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for security algorithm methods in authorizing and linking devices associated with a customer. A first device can be linked to a customer account. Additional devices can be linked to the customer account. Those devices can be authenticated to perform banking operations using dual factor authentication wherein a customer's login information is a first factor and the customer using a previously authenticated device is a second factor. By using additional methods of authentication, transactions can be done more reliably and securely.

Abstract: Viewing history regarding one or more instances of media content is generated for subsequent analysis. The viewing history is developed based on recording timestamps associated with one or more instances that viewing of the media content is interrupted, paused, terminated, etc. The timestamps can be supplemented with metadata associated with the media content (e.g., media title, genre, duration, actor, actress, etc.) along with information collected from the communication system conveying the media content. By data mining the timestamps in conjunction with other pertinent data it is possible to determine why a viewer may not have viewed the media content in its entirety, as well as recommend future content. Analysis of the viewing history can be performed in conjunction with previously stored viewing histories, along with other viewers viewing histories, etc., to gain a broader understanding of a viewing history for a given media content.
