Patents Assigned to Reebok International Ltd.
  • Patent number: 5590696
Abstract: The present invention is an inflation system utilizing an inflation device and an adaptor therefor. The inflation device includes a cylindrical housing which receives a pressurized cartridge of gas, a head unit, and a nozzle. The head unit of the device includes structure for creating and delivering a metered bolus of gas per each actuation of the device. The device audibly indicates to the user when a single bolus of gas has been successfully delivered to an inflatable bladder. In another aspect of the invention, an elastomeric inflation port which serves as an adaptor for connecting the inflation device of the invention to an inflatable bladder is provided. The inflation port of the invention may also function as a fluid release mechanism to vent fluid from the bladder.

  • Patent number: 5564203
Abstract: The invention provides a removable instep piece for a shoe. The removable instep piece is disposed in the instep region of the upper such that it is selectively removable from the shoe separately from the tongue of the shoe. The removable instep piece includes a unitary central portion and straps extending outwardly therefrom. The straps extend one each through strap openings in the upper of the shoe. Shoe laces may be passed through eyelets in the distal end of the straps of the instep piece.

  • Patent number: 5544670
Abstract: The present invention is a pressurized gas inflation device for inflating an inflatable article of manufacture. In the preferred embodiment, the device includes a cylindrical housing which receives a cartridge of pressurized gas, a head unit and a nozzle. The head unit includes a valve assembly for controlling the flow of gas through the device. The nozzle includes a means for controlling the flow rate of the gas flowing through the nozzle and a means for relieving the build-up of excess pressure. The nozzle of the device may be structured to couple in a fluid-tight manner with an adaptor of an inflation valve. The adaptor of the present invention includes a top surface, at least one side wall and several apertures for receiving fluid from an inflation device or for venting fluid from a bladder.

  • Patent number: 5437615
Abstract: A support is disclosed comprising a belt which encircles a wearer's waist. The belt which is inflatable has an on-board inflation pump and may be used for weight lifting. The inflatable weight lifting belt includes a bladder defined by a single chamber having inflation and deflation mechanisms which allow the wearer to selectively adjust the amount of air in the bladder. The bladder has an oblong portion which is positioned on the belt so that when the belt is worn, the oblong portion is positioned adjacent to the wearer's lower back for support. An elongated portion of the bladder extending through the aperture of the belt is integrally formed with inflation and deflation mechanisms on the other side of the belt. In the preferred embodiment, the inflation mechanism comprises a pump and a one-way valve and the deflation mechanism comprises an exhaust valve.
