  • Patent number: 11321779
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system, method and apparatus for evaluating a variety of financial information, determining a valuation metric, and distributing the valuation metric to system users. The valuation metric distribution may be configured by an administrator for automatic distribution of the valuation metric to system users. Alternately, a system user may log onto a central server to access the valuation metric, based on administrator defined or user-customized system data. The valuation characteristic provides a system user with a metric that may be used to assist in allocating the user's financial resources. The metric is determined by analyzing three main types of financial indicators, specifically an earnings-yield factor, an interest factor and a growth indicator.

  • Publication number: 20220100591
Abstract: Intra-application messaging that is non-coupled may be facilitated through byte code injection. For example, a consumer class may be annotated with an annotation that describes data with which the function is to be called to consume data. A producer class may annotate a field/variable of an annotation to indicate that the data is generated by the producer class. At run time, a customized class loader scans each class as it is loaded for these annotations. When a consumer class is found, a byte code injector may write byte code that registers a consumer object instantiated from the consumer class to receive the data from a message router. When a producer class is found, a byte code injector may write byte code that notifies the message router that the data is available.

  • Patent number: 11282138
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for incentivizing participants on an electronic trading venue to post competitively priced bids or offers onto that venue. Participants that post such bids and offers are rewarded by a venue implementing the invention by being sent more frequent (and/or enhanced) market data updates over participants who do not, while those bids and offers remain active and competitive. Participants that receive more frequent market data updates from a venue may have an informational advantage in their trading over those participants that receive less frequent updates.

  • Patent number: 11270381
Abstract: Systems and techniques for structuring and analyzing a fixed-income security are disclosed. The fixed-income security includes a coupon that provides at least a variable rate of interest payment over a time interval. The variable rate of interest payment may be based at least in part on a set of environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) goals defined for an issuer over the time interval. A set of ESG values associated with performance of the issuer and corresponding to the set of ESG goals may be reported, independently audited, and used to determine the variable rate of interest payment provided by the security.

  • Patent number: 11257161
Abstract: The present invention provides a method, system and software that provide a predictive model responsive to the correlation of news articles to stock price movement. The invention analyzes the derivative or ratio of events to drive predictions in a responsive manner. The invention considers derivatives or ratios of news meta-data within a small window in the past relative to a larger window of news items in the past. The invention may use a sentiment engine and apply the derivative of sentiment to predict volatility and/or trend direction of price of a security. The invention may look to the content, context, and derivative of sentiment to weigh news stories according to a predetermined taxonomy factoring in recency, criticality, repeatedness, trustworthiness, etc. to predict stock price behavior. Also, the invention may be used to forecast events given stock price movement and news to predict an impending story or release of significance.

  • Patent number: 11232117
Abstract: In accordance with one aspect, the present disclosure is directed to quantifying the relevance between two entities in a graph database. One way of doing this is determining the number of pathways and the length of the pathways within the graph database that connect the two entities, wherein each entity is represented as a node. In some implementations, the present disclosure identifies and quantifies the connection between a news document (e.g., a news article) and a company or other entity. For example, the connection between an online news article and a company's underlying equity instrument can be evaluated.

  • Publication number: 20210400125
Abstract: Computer-readable media, systems and methods may propagate lower layer data, in headers that would otherwise be deleted, to upper layers in a network protocol stack that uses a multi-layer communication model. For example, high precision network-level timestamps that indicate a time that binary data is received at a network switch may be propagated upward for online application-level processing. Network switches may ordinarily insert network-level timestamps in frame headers that are ordinarily removed prior to propagation upward. The network-level timestamps may be propagated via in-band propagation or out-of-band propagation.

  • Patent number: 11195135
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for an entity ranking system. In one embodiment, a computing system is configured to interface with one or more domains to identify a set of entities. The computing system can ascertain a first set of data components for each entity, normalize each of the first set of data components for each entity, and detect a failure to ascertain a second set of data components. The computing system can compute a statistical probability for a possible set of values for each data component of the second set based on the ascertained first set of data components. The computing system can rank each entity based on a derived quantile. The computing system can generate a graphical user interface including a visualization of the ranking of each entity, which can be rendered on a display of the at least one user computing devices.

  • Patent number: 11144993
Abstract: The invention relates to improved computer systems mitigating the effects of computational incongruencies of Electronic Trading Venue (“ETV”) computers based on selection of orders, received at the ETV via a network from the computers, using randomization and delay-free mechanisms. To address High Frequency Trading and improve the efficiency of the computer system of an ETV, the system may immediately, without introducing a batching or randomization delay, place maker orders into an electronic order book. If a taker order is received that is price-compatible with previously received maker orders in the electronic order book, the system may batch the maker orders in the electronic order book for randomization. As such, batching and randomization processes do not use network and computational resources of the computer system unless they are actually necessary, and are typically not employed when maker orders are canceled after their initial entry into the electronic order book.

  • Patent number: 11069018
Abstract: In accordance with one aspect, the present disclosure is directed to of determining relative importance of a plurality of entities in a supply chain of a company. One way of doing this is identifying for the company, the plurality of entities in the supply chain, and determining the relative importance of each of the plurality of entities within the supply chain. The relative importance is determined via at least one processor circuit programmed to determine, for each respective entity in the supply chain, a relative buying power, a supplier revenue fraction, and an industry revenue exposure. The processor circuit is programmed to compute a relative importance score for each respective entity in the supply chain, as a function of the determined buying power, supplier fraction, and industry revenue exposure for the respective entity.

  • Patent number: 11068282
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to persisting values in a computing environment, particularly using computer programs that run on a virtual machine. An illustrative method includes first launching a computer program, preferably within the environment of a virtual machine. The method further includes loading a plurality of classes associated with the computer program into memory by way of a special class loader. This class loader scans at least one class of classes loaded into memory for at least one persistence-annotated field within that class. The special class loader further writes byte code into a class that contains the at least one persistence-annotated field. The byte code that is added to the class causes a first object that is later instantiated from the at least one class to have the persistence-annotated field.

  • Patent number: 11023973
Abstract: At a first time, an indication of a selection of a contract, expiring at a second time and associated with a commodity, is received. A set of physical stacks associated with the contract is accessed. Based upon the first time, the second time, and a periodic sampling rate, a marginal cost profile for the commodity is generated. The marginal cost profile is a set of values relating to an estimate of a marginal cost of production for the commodity at a set of times between the first time and the second time. A display signal, adapted to form the basis for a visual display, is generated. The display signal includes a first component relating to at least one physical stack from the set of physical stacks, and a second component relating to the marginal cost profile. The display signal is stored in a memory and transmitted from the memory.
