Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the purification of bee venom on a mass scale. It comprises dissolving crude bee venom in a solvent to form a bee venom solution; applying an adsorbent to the bee venom solution to form a mixture; and removing the adsorbent through filtration to afford a pure bee venom solution. By the method of the present invention, crude bee venom collected from bee farms can be purified to a purity of 99% or higher on a mass scale, without inducing a change in the composition thereof, and thus the purified bee venom can be used as a material for medicines, cosmetics and foods.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a forged seal imprint checking method which includes a step ST-101 of generating a reference seal imprint from a genuine seal (ST-110) and a step ST-121 of comparing a compared seal imprints with the reference seal imprint to calculate characteristic values of the compared seal imprint with respect to the reference seal imprint (ST-140). According to experimental results, forged seal imprints obtained by seals forged by etching a zinc plate or a resin plate can be recognized and forged seal imprints generated by seals forged through computer copy can be also recognized. Accordingly, an objective basis on which it can be determined whether seal imprints on documents are forged in civil and criminal cases can be provided to prevent errors which may be generated when seal imprints are inspected with the naked eyes or microscopes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to fusion polynucleotides for biosynthesis of beta-carotene and a method for producing beta-carotene using the same. Abstract: Provided is an artificial eardrum using silk protein and a method of fabricating the same. The artificial eardrum is fabricated in the form of a silk membrane by desalinating and drying silk protein (or silk fibroin) or a silk protein complex solution obtained after removal of sericin from a silkworm cocoon or silk fiber. Thus, regeneration of an eardrum perforated due to disease or a sudden accident is stimulated, a boundary of the regenerated eardrum is clean and biocompatibility and transparency are increased. Abstract: A method of producing a rice cake that becomes not hardened for a long time period, a rice cake produced by using the method, and a processed food produced by processing the rice cake are provided. The method includes: (a) immersing grains in water and removing the water therefrom; (b) grinding the grains from which water is removed, adding water thereto, and then grinding the grains to which water is added; (c) steaming the ground grains; and (d) cooling the steamed grains, adding flour thereto, and then punching the resultant product. The rice cake has a long storage time and is suitable for a long-term distribution.
