Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an adaptive high-precision compression method and system based on a convolutional neural network model, and belongs to the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and image processing. According to the method of the present disclosure, coarse-grained pruning is performed on a neural network model by using a differential evolution algorithm first, and the coarse-grained space is quickly searched through an entropy importance criterion and an objective function with good guidance to obtain a near-optimal neural network structure. Then fine-grained search space is built on the basis of an optimal individual obtained from the coarse-grained search, and fine-grained pruning is performed on the neural network model by a differential evolution algorithm to obtain a network model with an optimal structure. Finally, the performance of the optimal model is restored by using a multi-teacher multi-step knowledge distillation network to reach the precision of an original model.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a decoding method and apparatus and an encoding method and apparatus that perform inter-prediction using a motion vector predictor. For a candidate block in a col picture, a scaled motion vector is generated based on a motion vector of the candidate block. Abstract: A fumed silica monolithic integrating cavity device. The device is configured to facilitate optical measurements taken from a sample positioned within a cavity of the device. The cavity is defined by a fumed silica monolith with the added feature of a fused quartz lining on the surface of the monolith. This provides an intermediate surface that allows for cleaning and reuse of the highly effective diffuse light scattering fumed silica monolith. Furthermore, the lining may be placed under pressure or vacuum to structurally enhance mechanical integrity of the underlying monolith. Thus, continued or reliably repeated use of the device may be appreciated as well as use in more industrial environments that are prone to vibration.

Abstract: A transmit power control method of a first station in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system includes: receiving path loss information from an (access point) AP, the path loss information containing a maximum value among path losses between the AP and at least one or more stations included in the WLAN system; controlling a transmit power by using the path loss information; and transmitting a frame according to the controlled transmit power. Abstract: Systems and methods for vehicular navigation are disclosed herein. One embodiment receives, from one or more sensors, sensor data pertaining to a roadway section that is proximate to a vehicle; generates segmented sensor data to identify, in the roadway section, one or more boundary lines of one or more lanes; determines, from the sensor data, a direction of travel associated with at least one of the one or more lanes; applies a graphical model to the segmented sensor data to generate an output that includes a set of discrete points corresponding to the one or more boundary lines; generates an objective map of the roadway section from the set of discrete points; and uses the objective map to assist the vehicle in navigating the roadway section.
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a system and a method for 3D shape measurement of a freeform surface based on high-speed deflectometry using composite patterns. More particularly, a system for profile measurement based on high-speed deflectometry using composite patterns includes: a composite pattern generation part to project a composite pattern generated by synthesizing patterns having different frequencies to a measurement object; a detector to acquire images of a deformed composite pattern reflected from the measurement object; and a phase acquisition part to acquire wrapped phases by each frequency from the composite pattern and unwrapped phases from the respective wrapped phases.
