Abstract: Disclosed is a capacitive-coupled comb-line microstrip array antenna including a dielectric substrate, first and second feeding lines formed on one surface of the dielectric substrate and in parallel branched from a feeding line connected to an input port, and microstrip patches intersected and arranged in a way to be partially overlapped within an area where the parallel first and second feeding lines are formed to face each other. The microstrip patches include a first group of microstrip patches formed in a direction orthogonal to the first feeding line with a gap between the microstrip patches and the first feeding line and a second group of microstrip patches formed in a direction orthogonal to the second feeding line with a gap between the microstrip patches and the second feeding line.

Abstract: A method of prognosing a course of disease progression and/or survival time in a subject diagnosed with ALS or FTD is disclosed. The method comprising: (a) detecting a level of miR-181 in a biological sample of the subject; and (b) determining the disease progression and/or survival time based on the level of the miR-181, wherein: (i) when the level of miR-181 is higher than that in a control sample, it is indicative of a rapid disease progression and/or poor survival; or (ii) when the level of miR-181 is about the same or lower than that in the control sample, it is indicative of a slow disease progression and/or good survival. Methods of prognosing a stage of disease in a subject diagnosed with ALS or FTD are also disclosed.

Abstract: An alloy anode for a seawater based aqueous battery and a universal strategy for preparing anodes for use in seawater based aqueous batteries. Zn-M alloys (where M can be manganese or other transition metal) were prepared by co-electrodeposition in the presence of hydrogen bubble formation to produce a porous nanostructured alloy that can serve as an anode for a seawater based aqueous battery. Exemplary Zn—Mn alloy anodes achieved stability over thousands of cycles even under harsh electrochemical conditions, including testing in seawater-based aqueous electrolytes and using a high current density of 80 mA cm?2. The anode design strategy allows for the production of durable electrodes for aqueous batteries and other applications.

Abstract: A method for 3D object modeling includes linking 2D semantic keypoints of an object within a video stream into a 2D structured object geometry. The method includes inputting, to a neural network, the object to generate a 2D NOCS image and a shape vector, the shape vector being mapped to a continuously traversable coordinate shape. The method includes applying a differentiable shape renderer to the SDF shape and the 2D NOCS image to render a shape of the object corresponding to a 3D object model in the continuously traversable coordinate shape space. The method includes lifting the linked, 2D semantic keypoints of the 2D structured object geometry to a 3D structured object geometry. The method includes geometrically and projectively aligning the 3D object model, the 3D structured object geometry, and the rendered shape to form a rendered object. The method includes generating 3D bounding boxes from the rendered object.

The 2D gimbaled mirror may be positioned within the housing such that the single mirror is positioned at a focus of a focusing lens. The focusing lens may be fixed within a housing. The scanner may also comprise a terahertz emitter and detector.

Abstract: A measuring-robot device for fully mechanized coal mining faces and an automatic measuring system are provided. The measuring robot includes a suspension cage, a total station, a prism and an industrial computer. Firstly, the suspension cage with automatic leveling function is fixed on the top beam of a hydraulic support, then the total station and the industrial computer are fixed in the suspension cage, and finally the prism with a plug connector is installed under the base of the total station, forming a measuring-robot device. According to the fluctuations of the fully mechanized coal mining face, several measuring robots will be deployed along the fully mechanized coal mining face, and the adjacent measuring robots are line of sight to each other, forming the automatic measuring system covering the fully mechanized coal mining.
