Abstract: Disclosures of the present invention describe a moving object detection system and method, wherein a pre-processer module, a feature extraction module, an image optical flow estimation module, a feature points grouping module, and a moving object determination module are provided in a controlling and processing module of the system by a form of library, variables, or operands. Moreover, a feature difference calculation unit, a matrix establishing unit and a corner feature point acquiring unit are provided in the feature extraction module, and that is helpful for enhancing computing speed of the controlling and processing device in verifying corner feature points from image frames. Therefore, after the corner feature points are applied with a cluster labeling process, the moving object determination module can achieve motion detection of at least one object locating in a monitoring area by determining whether corner feature point groups move or not.
Abstract: A method for detecting a foreign object between a transmission pad and a reception pad for wireless power transfer (WPT) may comprise: performing, by a processor, a zero phase angle (ZPA) control for a power transfer converter included in or connected to the transmission pad; detecting, by the processor, a phase difference between an input current and an input voltage of the power transfer converter; and determining, by the processor, whether or not the foreign object exists between the transmission pad and the reception pad by comparing the phase difference with a reference value.

Abstract: A bit interleaver, a bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) device and a bit interleaving method are disclosed herein. The bit interleaver includes a first memory, a processor, and a second memory. The first memory stores a low-density parity check (LDPC) codeword having a length of 64800 and a code rate of 2/15. The processor generates an interleaved codeword by interleaving the LDPC codeword on a bit group basis. The size of the bit group corresponds to a parallel factor of the LDPC codeword. The second memory provides the interleaved codeword to a modulator for 64-symbol mapping.

Abstract: A method for molecular chirality detection is described. The method includes providing a substrate defining an array of hole-disks, each hole-disk coupled with an asymmetric optical cavity. Each asymmetric optical cavity having a back reflector separating a plasmonic pattern by an appropriate selection of thickness. The substrate is illuminated to simultaneously excite two degenerate localized surface plasmon modes producing a strong chiral near-field. The method may also include generating a characterization of chiral molecules on the substrate based on the strong chiral near-field. Substrates and detectors for molecular chirality detection are also described.

Abstract: The present application discloses a semiconductor device and a method for forming a p-type conductive channel in a diamond using an abrupt heterojunction, which pertain to the technical field of fabrication of semiconductor devices. The method includes: forming a diamond layer on a substrate; forming one or multiple layers of a heterogeneous elementary substance or compound having an acceptor characteristic on an upper surface of the diamond layer; forming a heterojunction at an interface between the diamond layer and an acceptor layer; forming two-dimensional hole gas at one side of the diamond layer with a distance of 10 nm-20 nm away from the heterojunction; and using the two-dimensional hole gas as a p-type conductive channel. The method enables a concentration and a mobility of carriers to maintain stable at a temperature range of 0° C.-1000° C., thereby realizing normal operation of the diamond device at high temperature environment.
