    Abstract: Provided is an operation method of a heat engine device using a single ion configured to greatly improve the efficiency of a heat engine by performing work in a different way than heat engine apparatuses to which classical thermodynamics applies. With the single ion heat engine device, a heat engine cycle in accordance with an auto engine cycle can be established on a micro-scale. Accordingly, the heat engine device using single ion has the effect of being able to be utilized as a substantially mesoscopic or nano-scale heat engine. This utilization is based on concepts, such as temperature, entropy, and pressure, that vary with features of a micro-miniaturized heat engine and types of thermal reservoirs and on interpretation of a change in engine efficiency.

The processor may identify a first and second code block that share the same immediate dominator and the immediate post dominator. The processor may determine a first instruction for the first code block and a second instruction for the second code block include a common opcode. In response to the first instruction and second instructing sharing the common opcode, the processor may update the set of executable instructions by removing a first instruction from the first code block and a second instruction from the second code block. The processor may add, to the set of executable instructions, a third instruction comprising the opcode, the first operand, and the second operand.

    Abstract: Stable nanoemulsions of a terpene-rich cannabidiol by-product (TP) and/or its distillate (DTP) can be used to effectively make pesticides, herbicides, and other bioactive products. A terpene-rich by-product (TP) can be provided, suitably by isolation from a commercial cannabidiol production process. The enriched terpene distillate (DTP) can be obtained from steam distillation of some or all of the TP. The TP and/or DTP can be combined with a surfactant to form an emulsion, which can then be sonicated to form the stable nanoemulsion. It has been discovered that the formulation of stable nanoemulsions using the terpene by-products as the lipophilic phase can effectively deliver desired levels of bioactivity while overcoming or mitigating the known drawbacks of high lipophilicity, high volatility, and propensity to thermal and oxidative degradation, all of which can lead to reduced efficacy.

    Abstract: A two-step immunoprecipitation technique for isolating fetal neuronal extracellular vesicles (EVs) including exosomes (EXs). First, an antibody against pregnancy-specific beta-1-glycoprotein 1 (PSG1) is used to isolate fetal-originated EVs-EXs from placental syncytiotrophoblasts to obtain placenta-specific EVs-EXs that are of fetal origin circulating in maternal blood. Next, an antibody of synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2B (SV2B) is used to purify neuronal EVs-EXs from the placental EVs-EXs. The SV2B-immunoprecipitated EVs-EXs according to the present invention may be used for quantitative measurement to determine synaptic function and synapse development, which are related to brain developmental disabilities.
