Abstract: The present invention is directed to methods for treating diarrhea, both chronic or acute forms, by the administration of a therapeutically or prophylactically effective amount of antibodies and fragments thereof having binding specificity for CGRP. In particular the methods prevent or reduce diarrhea in conditions or treatments resulting in elevated CGRP levels, e.g., in the GI tract (colon) that are associated with diarrhea and/or improper electrolyte and fluid excretion from the bowel or urinary system. More specifically, this invention relates to treatments using the anti-CGRP antibodies and fragments described herein, and binding fragments thereof.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an ensemble learning prediction apparatus. The apparatus includes a loss module, a diversity module, a sample weight module, and an integrating weight module. The loss module, the diversity module and the sample weight module calculate a loss, a diversity and a sample weight, respectively. An ensemble weight is learned by an object function built by the loss, diversity and the sample weight. The integrating weight module calculates an adaptive ensemble weight by integrating the ensemble weight and previous ensemble weights at a plurality of previous time points.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a whole bovine-derived broadly neutralizing antibody against serotype O foot-and-mouth disease virus, and belongs to the technical field of antibody preparation. The method includes the following steps: 1) conducting the immunization on the cattle; 2) screening for the serotype O foot-and-mouth disease virus antigen-specific single B cells; 3) amplifying variable region genes of the heavy and light chains; 4) acquiring constant region sequences of the heavy and light chains; 5) preparing a full-length heavy chain vector; 6) co-transfecting a cell, taking the supernatant of cell culture, and purifying. The method utilizes different foot-and-mouth disease virus strains to infect cattle and obtains a neutralizing antibody capable of neutralizing three topotypes of serotype O FMDVs by screening, and thus can obtain a whole bovine-derived broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibody.

A processor in communication with the memory, is configured to detect a semantic class and a location of at least one object in an image selected from the set of images using the object detector to produce a detection metric as a combination of an uncertainty of the object detector about the semantic class of the object in the image (classification) and an uncertainty of the object detector about the location of the object in the image (localization). Using an output interface or a display type device, in communication with the processor, to display the image for human labeling when the detection metric is above a threshold.

Abstract: An oxidizing gas detection method and an apparatus thereof are provided for trace oxidizing gas detection. The detection method includes the following steps. First, perform an electroreduction reaction and a photoreduction reaction simultaneously to a metal oxide in which nanoconductors are distributed. Next, stop the electroreduction reaction and the photoreduction reaction, and read a resistance of the reduced metal oxide by applying a first pulse-width modulation signal. Next, provide an oxidizing gas to the reduced metal oxide, and photo-catalyze a redox reaction between the oxidizing gas and the reduced metal oxide. Next, read a resistance of the oxidized metal oxide by applying a second pulse-width modulation signal. Next, converse a concentration of the oxidizing gas according to a ratio of the resistance of the oxidized metal oxide and the resistance of the reduced metal oxide.
