Abstract: A conveyor with a weighing system includes a conveyance unit, a length calculation module, a weighing module, and a controller. The conveyance unit conveys a cargo to move. The length calculation module is arranged at one side of a front end of the conveyance unit to acquire a length of the cargo. The weighing module is arranged at a bottom part of the conveyor. The controller is connected to the length calculation module and the weighing module, such that based on the length acquired by the length calculation module, a weight of the cargo measured by the weighing module is provided. A weighing method of a conveyor is also provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for self-cleaning a surface of an object where an electrodynamic shield is mounted to a surface of the object. The electrodynamic shield includes one or more sets of electrodes atop a substrate, at least one or more sets of electrodes being covered in a protective film. A coating is applied to the top surface of the protection film. A signal pulse generator is connected to the one or more sets of electrodes. The signal pulse generator generates a pulse signal that causes the one or more sets of electrodes to generate an electric field. The pulse signal comprises a plurality of different pulse signals which have phase differences between consecutive signals, and the electric field causes a particle atop the coating to experience an electrostatic force and be repelled away from the coating. These pulse signals (including shapes, amplitudes, shifts, and frequencies) can be tuned to increase efficiency of removal depending on dust type and relative humidity.

Abstract: A carbon molecular sieve (CMS) membrane having improved separation characteristics for separating olefins from their corresponding paraffins is comprised of carbon with at most trace amounts of sulfur and a group 13 metal. The CMS membrane may be made by pyrolyzing a precursor polymer devoid of sulfur in which the precursor polymer has had a group 13 metal incorporated into it, wherein the metal is in a reduced state. The pyrolyzing for the precursor having the group 13 metal incorporated into it is performed in a nonoxidizing atmosphere and at a heating rate and temperature such that the metal in a reduced state (e.g., covalently bonded to carbon or nitrogen or in the metal state).

Abstract: Nanoreactors comprising a metal precursor in a carrier are provided as well as methods of initiating, methods of preparing, and methods of using nanoreactors. In some embodiments, upon exposure to heat, the metal precursor forms nanoparticles that can be detected, e.g., by detecting a color change in the nanoreactor and/or by detecting the number and/or size and/or size distribution and/or shape of the nanoparticles. The nanoreactors can be used, in some embodiments, as time-temperature indicators for perishable goods.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for generating Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells from fibroblast cells. The invention also relates to appropriate culture media used by the method disclosed; pluripotent stem cells, cultures of the pluripotent stem cells, differentiated cells derived from the culture pluripotent stem cells isolated by the methods disclosed and uses for those cells, e.g. therapeutic uses, such as autologous cell therapy procedures.
