Abstract: Provided herein are AAV inverted terminal repeats (ITRs) comprising modifications that are useful for improved expression of a transgene to muscle cells/tissue. ITRs as described herein comprise a myoblast determination protein (MyoD) binding site and/or myocyte enhancer factor (MEF) binding site. to improve transgene expression in muscle cells/tissue. Provided herein are also AAV particles comprising modified ITRs. and method of making and using them.

Abstract: A dynamic compression implant may be insertable into a bone, and may have a distal member with distal bone-engaging threads, a proximal member that slidably engages the distal member, and a tension member with a proximal end coupled to the proximal member, and a distal end coupled to the distal member such that, in response to motion of the distal member distally away from the proximal member, the tension member elongates and urges the distal member to move proximally toward the proximal member. Abstract: Embodiments relate to novel vaccines against human papillomavirus (HPV) and HPV-related diseases, including multiple types of cancers. The HPV vaccines are composed of anti-human dendritic cell (DC) surface receptor antibodies, including CD40, and E6/7 proteins of HPV16 and 18. The technology described is not limited to making vaccines against HPV16- and HPV18-related diseases and can be applied to making vaccines carrying E6/7 from any type of HPV. The HPV vaccines described can target DCs, major and professional antigen presenting cells (APCs), and can induce and activate potent HPV E6/7-specific and strong CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses. The HPV vaccines can be used for the prevention of HPV infection and HPV-related diseases as well as for the treatment of HPV-related diseases, including cancers.

Abstract: A prednisone enteric-coated preparation and a preparation method and use thereof are provided. The prednisone enteric-coated preparation includes: 5% to 35% of an active prednisone micro-enteric-coated preparation unit, such as an enteric-coated microsphere; and an inactive pharmaceutical adjuvant. The enteric-coated microsphere has an average particle size of 100 ?m to 1,000 ?m, and a dissolution behavior of the enteric-coated microsphere conforms to the provisions for enteric-coated preparations. The enteric-coated microsphere characteristic not only avoids the stimulation of prednisone to a gastric mucosa, but also makes the active ingredient quickly released and absorbed in an intestinal tract to prevent the active ingredient from being destroyed by intestinal floras. The prednisone enteric-coated preparation can be any dosage form such as a suspension or a capsule suitable for patients with difficult swallowing or normal patients.

Abstract: A method for preparing an adjustable organic fertilizer is provided. The method includes providing a ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium required for a target crop and collecting a plurality of wastes.
