  • Patent number: 9488057
Abstract: A micro jet gas film generation apparatus aims to eject a gas to a work object which is desired for cooling or insulating from heat. The micro jet gas film generation apparatus has a spout formed at a diameter of 5-100 ?m to generate a gas film on the work object. As the diameter of the spout of the micro jet gas film generation apparatus is small, the micro jet gas film generated from the spout cannot produce a large eddy due to the lack of sufficient energy, hence can maintain a thin film after a long distance ejection to improve cooling and heat insulation performance. Moreover, due to the small diameter of the spout, it also consumes less gas and can reduce the amount of gas required.

  • Patent number: 9488682
Abstract: A method determines power consumption of a load in a feeder section of an ungrounded power distribution system. Borders of the feeder section are defined by an importing device connecting the feeder section to an upstream feeder section, and by at least one exporting device connecting the feeder section with a downstream feeder section. A power consumption of each load is represented as a product of a scaling factor and a base power defined by a load profile of the load. A power flow of the feeder section is solved using the power consumptions of the loads to produce an active power for each phase of the importing device. A target active power for each phase of the importing device is determined using measurements at the importing device, and the scaling factors are updated based on a difference between the active power and the target active power.

  • Patent number: 9490939
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for calculating a TCP checksum. An apparatus for calculating a TCP checksum includes a data division unit for dividing content to be transmitted into two or more primary data fragments by a unit of a preset byte. A first checksum calculation unit calculates first checksums for the primary data fragments, respectively. A second checksum calculation unit calculates a second checksum for secondary data to be inserted into a data area of the TCP segment using the first checksums. Accordingly, in TCP-based networks, a checksum calculation procedure is improved upon transmitting static content, so that a static content transfer rate occupying most of TCP-based network traffic can be improved.

  • Patent number: 9486621
Abstract: A method for treating intractable pain via electrical stimulation of the spinal cord. Remote, non-contact stimulation of a selected region of spinal cord is achieved by placement of a transceiver patch directly on the surface of that region of spinal cord, with said patch optionally being inductively coupled to a transmitter patch of similar size on either the outer or inner wall of the dura surrounding that region of the spinal cord. By inductively exchanging electrical power and signals between said transmitter and transceiver patches, and by carrying out the necessary electronic and stimulus signal distribution functions on the transceiver patch, the targeted dorsal column axons can be stimulated without the unintended stray stimulation of nearby dorsal rootlets. Novel configurations of a pliable surface-sheath and clamp or dentate ligament attachment features which realize undamaging attachment of the patch to the spinal cord are described.
