Abstract: An electrode lead includes an elongate lead body and a nerve cuff. The nerve cuff may include a cuff body, with a front layer and a rear layer, affixed to the distal end of the lead body and a plurality of electrically conductive members located between the front and rear layers. Each of the electrically conductive member defines a front side, a rear side and an outer perimeter and may include a plurality of holes that extend from the front side to the rear side and that are located around the outer perimeter. The cuff body front layer includes a plurality of windows that are respectively aligned with and located inwardly of the outer perimeters of the electrically conductive members, and a plurality of window frames that extend from the windows to the outer perimeters of the electrically conductive members. The cuff body also includes a plurality of anchors that respectively extend through the electrically conductive member holes and connect the window frames to the cuff body rear layer.

Abstract: A safety vent assembly for a cylindrical battery may include a burst disk configured to open and at least partially define a vent in response to a thermal runaway of the battery. The safety vent assembly may further include a current collector and a positive terminal. A turbulence promoter may be defined on the current collector. Gas from inside the battery may pass through the turbulence promoter and the vent formed by the burst disk during thermal runaway.
Abstract: Internal phase shifting is achieved by adding a feedback divider to a feedback loop of a phase locked loop circuit configured to determine a transmission frequency of a wireless transmission terminal and adding a phase adjustment current to a loop current. Since the phase adjustment current is applied to an adder circuit, a phase difference is maintained even when the feedback loop is in a stable state, and accordingly, an output of the feedback divider maintains the phase difference with a reference frequency as intended by the phase adjustment current applied to the adder circuit.

Abstract: An inspection system includes an excitation light source, a voltage-sensing film, an illumination light source, an image capture device. The excitation light source provides an excitation beam to light-emitting diodes to generate open-circuit voltages. The voltage-sensing film is at a top side of the light-emitting diodes and includes a voltage-sensing medium layer and a first electrode layer. The first electrode layer is in the voltage-sensing medium layer to provide a gain effect of the open-circuit voltages, so that the voltage-sensing medium layer senses the open-circuit voltages, and a display of the voltage-sensing medium layer is changed with a portion or all of the open-circuit voltages. The illumination light source provides an illumination beam to the voltage-sensing film to generate a sensing image according to a display change. The image capture device is on a transmission path of the sensing image and receives the sensing image to generate an inspection result.

Abstract: A video encoding method and a video decoding method are provided for adaptively determining a chroma intra-directional prediction mode. When a DM mode is applied for intra prediction of a chroma signal, the video encoding method and the video decoding method adaptively modify the directional mode of a luma block to conform to the characteristics of a chroma block by considering the position and size of the chroma block, the presence of reference samples, and the size of the luma block. The video encoding method and the video decoding method use the modified directional mode for intra prediction of the chroma signal.

Abstract: Coating compositions are provided that include water-dispersible acrylic polyol resin. The coating compositions may be applied to a surface such as acrylic, polyester, ceramic, metal, porcelain, glass, and vitreous china. The coating compositions have a viscosity of about 500 mPas or less, a VOC level of about 150 grams per liter VOCs or less, a pot life of about 180 minutes or less, and a cure time of about 48 hours or less after application to a substrate to form a dry film thickness of about 1 to about 6 mils. The coating compositions provide a coating having a hardness of about 2B to 5H as defined by ASTM D3363.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to use of a multigene stacking method in synthesis of nervonic acid in Brassica napus. The present disclosure provides a multigene co-expression plant vector, including an initial backbone of pBWA(V)BII and multiple exogenous gene expression cassettes. The present disclosure further provides two plant vectors applicable to genetic transformation, including a three-gene co-expression plant vector and a five-gene co-expression plant vector. In the present disclosure, after the three-gene co-expression plant vector and the five-gene co-expression plant vector are separately transferred into the Brassica napus, the nervonic acid (NA) with a high content is synthesized in the Brassica napus through multigene co-expression. An NA ratio can be significantly increased combined with a higher seed oil content and a greater field seed yield. The plant vector realizes efficient synthesis of NA in oil crops, obtains NA-rich seed oil, and increases an added value of edible oil.
