Abstract: Described herein are loupes shields. The shields can be easily attached to the loupes. The loupes shield is composed of a single filter that blocks harmful light. Additionally, the loupes shield includes a connector that permits the loupes shield to be attached to the loupes lens or housing that holds the loupes lens. The loupes shields described are useful in applications where it is desirable to protect the user from being exposed to damaging light. The loupes shields are useful in dental applications such as, for example, dental restorations, where light cure is required to cure the resin applied to a tooth during a dental restoration.

Abstract: A transition device for transitioning microwaves from an air-filled waveguide to an antenna. The air-filled waveguide is assumed to have an attachment flange, with the transition device having a compatible transition attachment flange. A rod has an upper portion extending upwardly through the flanges and a lower portion extending downwardly into the air-filled waveguide. The rode is made from a solid piece of high-dielectric material. The rod's outer surfaces of the upper portion (other than its end face) are metal plated, such that the upper portion provides a solid waveguide having a radiating aperture antenna.

Abstract: A neuron device is described. The neuron device is based on spontaneous polarization switching which includes a plurality of gate electrodes, a plurality of drain electrodes, a plurality of source lines, a dielectric layer, and a semiconductor layer. The gate electrodes are arranged parallel to each other. The drain electrodes are arranged parallel to each other. The source lines are arranged between the gate electrodes and the drain electrodes and parallel to each other. The dielectric layer is formed at intersections between the gate electrodes and the source lines. The semiconductor layer is formed at intersections between the drain electrodes and the source electrodes. The drain electrodes function as synapse-after-neuron linking terminals. The gate electrodes adjust an arrangement direction of electrical dipoles of the dielectric layer to control a firing time point and a firing height of the neuron device.
