Abstract: The present invention presents a method and system for an autonomous mower attached with a camera, wherein the control of the parameters of the camera and the control of the mower movement and grass detection are optimized holistically during operation. The present invention mitigates the camera sensing limits by adapting the movement speed of the mower. Furthermore, the camera control optimizes the visibility of grass by using the grass mask of a grass segmentation to calculate updated exposure, gain and aperture values only from grass pixels. The grass segmentation tracks changes in the grass color that are caused by illumination differences. Optionally, the system is equipped with a head light used to further improve the camera signal quality in conjunction with the control of the camera parameters and the movement speed of the mower.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for determining the availability of a mobile communications device on a network based on a prediction that the device will cross a pre-defined service boundary between two different coverage areas serviced by two different service providers. Specifically, when the device is predicted to cross the service boundary, or has crossed the boundary, a notification of a change in service is issued to at least one of the user of the device, a presence service, or another network operator. The notification may include a change in the presence status of the mobile communications device.

Abstract: Devices and methods are disclosed for concurrently managing multimode communications devices. In various embodiments, a wireless communication device comprises a first radio configured to use a first Radio Access Technology (RAT) and a second radio configured to use a second RAT. Processing logic in the wireless device is configured to monitor and manage the state machines of said first and second radios. The processing logic is further configured to place the first radio in an active operational mode and to place the second radio in a reduced functionality operational mode. Control messages for the second radio are then received and processed via the first radio while the second radio is in the reduced functionality operative mode.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for allocating radio resources in a wireless communication system. Subframes that use only a particular terminal or a particular terminal group are allocated through the period, offset, and number of subframes that are consecutively used, or the subframes are allocated through the period, offset, and bitmap for subframes that are available within one or a plurality of frames, whereby radio resources are effectively allocated.

Abstract: Methods of encoding and decoding for video data are described for encoding or decoding coefficients for a transform unit. In particular, the significant-coefficient flags for a coefficient group are encoded and decoded based upon a context determination, and the context is determined based upon the values of neighboring flags. The neighborhood used to determine the context varies depending on whether the significant-coefficient flag to be encoded or decoded is in the right column or bottom row of the coefficient group or not. If it is in the right column or bottom row one of the alternative context neighborhoods is used to avoid relying on significant-coefficient flags in other coefficient groups except for the flags immediately adjacent the right border and bottom border of the coefficient group, and the flag diagonally to the lower-right.
