Abstract: Disclosed are a neural network accelerator and an operating method thereof, which include an instruction analyzer that analyzes a first instruction instructing an operation with respect to a first layer of a neural network algorithm from an external device, a polymorphic operator array including a plurality of operators that performs the operation with respect to the first layer under a control of the instruction analyzer, an interface that communicates with the external device and an external memory under the control of the instruction analyzer, an internal memory, a type converter, a type conversion data mover that stores data received from the external memory through the interface in the internal memory under the control of the instruction analyzer, and an internal type converter that performs a conversion of data stored in the internal memory or data generated by the polymorphic operator array under the control of the instruction analyzer.

Abstract: A process of preparing carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) intermediate products is described wherein the carbon fibers are prepared from a carbon fiber precursor and then in-line impregnated with a polymeric resin as part of a continuous process. The process can provide cost savings compared to processes wherein carbon fibers are prepared and then impregnated with polymeric resins in a separate process, thereby making the use of CFRP materials more economically feasible. Abstract: An amblyopia patch device including an eye patch, a light sensor attached to the eye patch, an alarm in communication with the light sensor, and an electronics system for triggering the alarm when the light sensor senses a light value above a pre-set threshold. Abstract: The disclosed invention describes a method for determining a current state of a gas cell in an airship, particularly the lift. A computing device receives depth measurements of the interior of the gas cell using a lidar sensor positioned outside the cell and uses these depth measurements to create a mesh, segment a space within the mesh into geometric shapes, calculate the volume of the shapes, and use the calculated volume to estimate the total volume of the space within the mesh, representing the volume of gas within the gas cell. The computing device then uses the estimated volume to calculate the lift of the gas cell and sends the calculated lift to a control module of the airship.

Abstract: A method and system for performing bone fusion and/or securing one or more bones, such as adjacent vertebra, are disclosed. The screws include a threaded tip connected to a main shaft and a threaded outer sleeve that rotates relative to the outer shaft until locked down. Independent rotation of the threaded outer sleeve relative to the threaded distal tip allows compression or distraction to modify the gap between the vertebral bodies. The screws are passed from the inferior to superior vertebra or superior to inferior, for example, through a trans-pedicular route to avoid neurological compromise. At the same time, the path of screw insertion is oriented to reach superior or inferior vertebra. An intervertebral cage of the system is configured for lateral expansion from a nearly straight configuration to form a large footprint in the disc space. The screws and cage may be combined for improved fixation with minimal invasiveness.
