Abstract: The invention provides an antiglare film. A resin layer is disposed on a substrate. Micro-aggregates are distributed in an interior and over a surface of the resin layer. Each of the micro aggregates has a size of 0.1-3 ?m and is formed by aggregating aggregated nano-particles. The micro-aggregates distributing over the surface result in a surface roughness of the resin layer. The weight ratio of the resin layer to the micro-aggregates is 1:0.1-0.7.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a carbon nanotube transistor biosensor with aptamers and a method for detecting a target material using the same, more particularly to a carbon nanotube transistor biosensor recognizing the target material, i.e., a specific molecule (such as a protein, a peptide, an amino acid, and an organic/inorganic compound) by using DNA aptamers and a method for screening a target material using the same. In the biosensor of the present invention, the aptamers binding specifically to a particular protein are adsorbed on a carbon nanotube constituting the channel domain of carbon nanotube transistor to easily detect/identify a particular protein via the electric conductivity of carbon nanotube that varies if the particular protein is exposed to corresponding aptamers.

Abstract: A method of printing a security document having a security feature, the method including, receiving the security document, and encrypted identity data at least partially indicative of an identity of the security document. The identity is decrypting using a secret key associated with the public key, allowing a signature to be generated using the determined identity. The signature is a digital signature of at least part of the identity. The signature is used in generating coded data at least partially indicative of the identity of the security document and at least part of the signature. The coded data is then printed on the security document.
Abstract: A method of identifying a compound capable of correcting an impaired enzymatic activity of a mutant glucocerebrosidase molecule, the method comprising: (a) obtaining a first set of structure coordinates, the first set of structure coordinates defining a 3D structure of a glucocerebrosidase molecule capable of displaying normal enzymatic activity or a portion thereof; (b) computationally generating using the first set of structure coordinates a second set of structure coordinates, the second set of structure coordinates defining a predicted 3D structure of the mutant glucocerebrosidase molecule or a portion thereof; and (c) computationally identifying, using the second set of structure coordinates, a compound capable of interacting with the mutant glucocerebrosidase molecule in such a way as to correct the impaired enzymatic activity thereof, thereby identifying the compound capable of correcting the impaired enzymatic activity of the mutant glucocerebrosidase molecule.

A plurality of printhead integrated circuits is mounted to the core element so as to be substantially aligned with one another along the elongate support member. The laminate structure includes at least a first layer of a first material adjacent the core element, a second layer of a second material adjacent the first layer, and a third layer of the first material adjacent the second layer, and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the first material is different to the coefficient of thermal expansion of the second material. The effective coefficient of thermal expansion of the support member is substantially equal to that of the plurality of printhead integrated circuits.
Abstract: A composition and method for fabricating and tuning a dopant based core-shell semiconductor having a quantum dot core with an excitation band-gap are provided. A quantum dot core composed of an alloy of cadmium sulfide (CdS) and zinc sulfide (ZnS) as semi-conductor materials include a dopant of manganese (Mn) added to the core and an outer shell of zinc sulfide (ZnS). The dopant based core/shell quantum dot semiconductor of the present invention allows the fine tuning of an excitation band-gap, covering a wide range (from 2.4 eV to ˜4 eV). When doped with Mn, these alloy Qdots emit bright yellow/orange light. Tuning of the excitation band is accomplished by changing the alloy composition of the core. Based on photophysical studies a new core/shell/shell model is provided, in place of the traditional core/shell model. Due to the interfacial diffusion of the cations from the core and shell an intermediate alloy layer is formed providing an inner shell; this inner shell layer is the real host of the dopant ions.

Abstract: A plasma reactor is provided, which includes a discharge chamber with dimensional characteristics and configuration of dielectric and electrodes so as to enhance efficiency based on the characteristics of the corona discharge streamers generated. Upon application of a pulsed high voltage potential, the discharge chamber enables formation of plasma where surface streamers play a greater role in the overall energy density of the discharge chamber than gas streamers. The formation of gas streamers is constrained. Because surface streamers have a higher energy density, the present invention is able to achieve improved energy efficiency while preserving effectiveness for gas treatment.
