Abstract: Provided is a method for fabricating semiconductor package and a semiconductor package fabricated using the same. The method for fabricating semiconductor package dopes a mixture including the polymer material and the solder particle on the substrate in which the terminal is formed and applies heat, and thus the solder particle flows (or diffuses) toward the terminal in the heated polymer resin to adhere to the exposed surface of the terminal, i.e., the side surface and upper surface of the terminal, thereby forming the solder layer. The solder layer improves the adhesive strength between the terminal of the semiconductor chip and the terminal of the substrate in the subsequent flip chip bonding process.

Abstract: A novel methylated catechin is provided which has stronger antiallergic activity than conventionally known methylated catechins such as epigallocatechin-3-O-(3-O-methyl)gallate and epigallocatechin-3-O-(4-O-methyl)gallate. The epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate derivative is represented by the chemical formula I: (wherein R1 to R6 are each a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and at least three of R1 to R6 are methyl groups) or an isomer thereof.

Abstract: An auto-focusing lens module includes an object lens, a liquid zooming unit, and an image lens group. The object lens and the liquid zooming unit receive an object image in front and condense the image into a first-stage output light. A zoom quantity is determined by an external control on the liquid zooming unit. The image lens group including a first and second lens receives the first-stage output light to transmit a second-stage output light. The first lens has a first and second surface, in which the second surface is farther than the first surface to the liquid zooming unit and has a convex curving surface protruding toward an image sensor. The second lens has a first and second surface, in which the first surface has a concave curving surface indenting toward the image sensor to adapt at least a portion of the convex curving surface of the first lens.

Abstract: A loose part monitoring method and system for preventing the generation of a false alarm as much as possible, including analyzing a group of detection signals that have been output from a plurality of sensors placed on a wall defining a fluid flow path, wherein the group of detection signals are analyzed for a rising gradient that is related to change in intensity of impulsive sound, a damping time that is related to change of intensity of the impulsive sound, and a frequency spectrum that is related to pitch of the impulsive sound in order to determine whether the group of detection signals are false or true.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for providing one or more prioritized alternative strings for a target string in a text typed on a keyboard. The method comprises: for each key on the keyboard, maintaining an adjacency mapping to each adjacent key; receiving the target string; determining whether the target string requires a correction; and if the target string does not appear in the linguistic database, presenting the one or more prioritized alternative strings, wherein the one or more prioritized alternative strings are prioritized based on the adjacency mapping.
Abstract: A method of predicting a well trajectory wherein the method utilises a series of parameters to calculate the trajectory. The method is characterised in that the parameters include the angle of a drill bit (23) relative to a well bore (27), and the variation of said angle during drilling wherein the variation of said angle is related to the moment on the bit (23).

Abstract: Systems and methods have been developed for large-scale propagation and differentiation of populations of neurons and glia from neural precursor cells derived from postnatal brain. Under culture conditions containing pituitary extract and mitogenic factors, cells derived from neural stem cells can be attached to a substrate, maintained and serially passaged in culture. Upon removal of mitogenic factors, clusters of neural progenitor cells can be induced that co-express markers of neural stem cells and immature neurons. Unlimited numbers of cells at characterized stages of neurogenesis can be produced. Upon maturation, neuronal cells extend processes and differentiate into mature neuronal phenotypes capable of generating action potentials.
