  • Patent number: 11435505
Abstract: A wavelength multiplexing device is disclosed. When light is irradiated on a first longitudinal end region of a metal nano-structure, surface plasmon polaritons are generated in the first longitudinal end region. The surface plasmon polaritons and the light are coupled with each other to form first coupled surface plasmon polaritons, wherein the first coupled surface plasmon polaritons propagate along and on a surface of the metal nano-structure. When the first coupled surface plasmon polaritons reach a two-dimensional material layer, excitons are induced in the two-dimensional material layer, wherein the induced excitons and the first coupled surface plasmon polaritons are coupled with each other to form second coupled surface plasmon polaritons. The second coupled surface plasmon polaritons propagate along and on a surface of the metal nano-structure toward a second longitudinal end thereof.

  • Patent number: 11433915
Abstract: An action to be performed by a vehicle in response to conflicting input signals can be determined. A sensor signal and an accelerator pedal signal can be received. The sensor signal can indicate a possible need to reduce a speed of the vehicle. The accelerator pedal signal can indicate that an accelerator pedal has been set to a position to increase the speed. An existence of first and second conditions can be determined. The first condition can be that a receipt of the accelerator pedal signal occurred concurrently with a receipt of the sensor signal. The second condition can be that a manner in which the accelerator pedal was set to the position is a better match to a brake pedal usage profile than to an accelerator pedal usage profile. In response to the existence of the first and the second conditions, a brake can be caused to be actuated.

  • Patent number: 11434456
Abstract: The present invention relates to a large-scale photosynthetic bioreactor in which transparent photobioreactors including a baffle are connected in parallel or in series by an adhesive element so that the reactor volume can be easily scaled up for scale-up culture of photosynthetic organisms, and to a fabrication method thereof. The large-scale photosynthetic bioreactor according to the present invention makes it possible to culture a larger amount of microalgae than a conventional photobioreactor in the same area. In addition, it has high light transmittance, produces a large amount of biomass per unit area due to smooth mixing, and has a significant effect of reducing carbon dioxide. Furthermore, the present invention has an advantage in that the number of photosynthetic bioreactors required to culture the same scale of photosynthetic organisms is significantly smaller than that in a conventional process for culture of photosynthetic organisms, and thus the operating costs can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 11436448
Abstract: The system determines a version space associated with a set of data comprising a pool of unlabeled samples and a first plurality of labeled samples, wherein the version space includes a first set of classifiers corresponding to the first plurality of labeled samples. The system selects, from the pool of unlabeled samples, a second plurality of unlabeled samples comprising informative samples and non-informative samples. A respective informative sample corresponds to a first hyperplane which intersects the version space, and a respective non-informative sample corresponds to a second hyperplane which does not intersect the version space. The system acquires labels corresponding to the second plurality of unlabeled samples to obtain a third plurality of labeled samples. The system updates the first set of classifiers based on the third plurality of labeled samples, thereby improving accuracy of the first set of classifiers.

  • Patent number: 11434211
Abstract: This disclosure shows the ability of a readily-available oxidizer to achieve oxidation of 5-amino-1H-tetrazole (5-AT) to 5-nitrotetrazole (5-NT) in high yields in a single pot synthesis. This strategy reduces the synthesis of this important energetic material down to a single step and eliminates highly sensitive diazonium and copper salt primary explosive intermediates. The overall yield of this process is 48-53% and the resultant aqueous solution of product effectively used for the preparation of nitrotetrazole-containing primary explosive DBX-1. Unlike current methods of nitrotetrazole preparation, the novel method is entirely solution-based and prepares a final solution of sodium nitrotetrazolate, never once needing to handle energetic intermediates or products, making it a much safer method of nitrotetrazole preparation.

  • Patent number: 11435226
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for measuring quantum efficiency of a detector using a single pulse laser. Quantum efficiency of the measurement target detector may be measured from 420 nm to 1600 nm having uncertainty of 2% to 4% (K=2) by comparing the reference detector and the measurement target detector significantly different in sensitivity using a single laser pulse as a spectral light source. Also, it is possible to directly compare the two detectors with a significant difference in sensitivity through a very simple setup that causes a portion of a laser pulse output from a light source part to be absorbed by the reference detector and the laser pulse reflected from the reference detector to be irradiated to the measurement target detector.
