Abstract: Disclosed is a silent, soft-close compact hinge comprising of a hinge cup pivotally connected to a hinge body via a hinge arm. A set of coil springs biases the hinge to a closed position. A damping mechanism is removably attached to the hinge cup and acted on by the hinge arm. A set of spring sleeves are fitted to the coil springs to insulate the movement of the coil springs on the hinge arm providing the closing bias. The hinge body is comprised of three separate plates adjustably connected to each other with cam screws. The position of the hinge body with respect to the hinge arm is adjustable in three directions without the need for removal or loosening of mounting hardware used to attach the hinge body to a furniture piece.

Abstract: A slidable kitchen organizer apparatus comprised of a combination of “V” shaped wire baskets and “L” shaped wire baskets. Each basket includes an extruded aluminum slatwall and is individually mounted on sliding assemblies within separate portions of a cabinet carcass. Each slide assembly is capable of independently sliding from a stored position within the cabinet to a deployed position outside of the cabinet. Removable, adjustable, and interchangeable hooks and shelves can be attached to the slatwalls.

Abstract: A set of handcuffs utilizing a conventional single strand and double strand system with ratchet teeth to prevent opening by virtue of one or more pawls is provided. The handcuffs may be connected via chain or similar device. Standard handcuffs may be unlocked by use of a universal key thereby creating safety and security issues. This design incorporates secondary security features which require that a handcuff be manipulated in some additional manner simultaneously while a handcuff key is utilized. This system requires two sets of hands to be used simultaneously to disengage the locking system. One hand of a person wearing the handcuffs is unable to manipulate the handcuff on which it is worn. As a result, it is virtually impossible for the wearer of the handcuffs to unlock the handcuffs/restraining device even if the person is in possession of the required key.

Abstract: A radio connection apparatus configured for use with a radio comprising an accessory connector arrangement is provided. The radio connection apparatus includes a radio connector configured to join with the radio accessory connector arrangement and a pouch connector configured to fixedly interconnect with a connector of a radio pouch such that removal of the radio from the pouch causes removal of the pouch connector from the connector of the radio pouch. The radio connector and pouch connector electrically interconnect with a processing device such that signals are transmitted between the radio and the processing device.

Abstract: An undermount drawer slide mounting clip releasably attaches a drawer to a drawer rail assembly mounted in a cabinet carcass. The apparatus is capable of effecting positional adjustments of the drawer in three directions without removing the drawer from the cabinet carcass. The apparatus is comprised of a body slidingly engaged with a bonnet. A trigger pivotally connected between the body and the bonnet. A spring loaded catch slidable within the bonnet and acted on by the trigger to releasably attach the apparatus to a drawer rail assembly. A threaded spindle rotates within the base and adjusts the horizontal position of the drawer. A ramp adjustably connected to the base adjusts the vertical position of the drawer. A plunger extends from a housing connected to the body to adjacent the drawer rail assembly and adjusts the depth of the drawer.

Abstract: Caskets, cap panel assemblies for a casket, and methods for manufacturing cap panel assemblies are described. A casket may include a casket shell, at least one casket cap pivotally mounted on the casket shell, and a cap panel assembly mounted in the at least one casket cap. The cap panel assembly may include a cap panel, a puffing member attached to each edge of the cap panel, a cap panel insert positioned in-line with the cap panel, and a plurality of resilient members positioned on a front face of the cap panel insert. The plurality of resilient members may be tensioned, for example, to hold keepsakes, memorabilia, or other types of objects on or in the cap panel insert. The cap panel insert can include a mounting bracket or a screw and wire assembly for mounting the cap panel insert on a wall.

Abstract: A system and method are presented that provide authentication tokens to a local device from a remote server. The authentication token incorporates standard token content, and also includes additional token components that are needed by the local device. The additional token components incorporate user preferences information, initialization data, or other useable information needed by the local device. In contrast to standard processes, which must return a security token to the local device before any useful data can be exchanged, the disclosed embodiment inserts useable data into the returned token and eliminates the time required to obtain this data through a separate data request.

Abstract: A method of reducing settling of residual comminuted hydrocarbonaceous material during processing can comprise forming a constructed permeability control infrastructure which defines a substantially encapsulated volume; introducing a composite comminuted hydrocarbonaceous material into the control infrastructure to form a permeable body, said composite hydrocarbonaceous material comprising a comminuted hydrocarbonaceous material and a structural material; and heating the permeable body sufficient to remove hydrocarbons therefrom such that the hydrocarbonaceous material is substantially stationary during heating, exclusive of subsidence and settling. The structural material can provide structural integrity to the permeable body sufficient to maintain convective flow of fluids throughout the permeable body during heating.

Abstract: A tamper-resistant or tamper-evident keypad device for use in secure transactions. The keypad comprises multiple security mechanisms to prevent tampering to the device, and thus access to users' private information. The keypad is made of resilient materials and contains a tamper-resistant collar for housing the keypad's connector interface. The keypad comprises a multi-layered printed circuit board with at least two internal security-shield layers comprising switch trace protection, as well as additional security layers for tamper protection. The keypad comprises a silicon-rubber keypad actuator that engages tamper switches on the flexible security circuit. The keypad comprises metal discs mounted on the front or rear face of the flexible circuit and an optional dome layer.

Abstract: Disclosed is a pullout apparatus having side access and designed for simple, adjustable, and accurate installation within a pre-existing cabinet space. The apparatus, slidably mounted within the cabinet space, comprises a top slide assembly mounted to a cabinet carcass and a drawer box. The drawer box is automatically centered on a base slide box. The base slide box is comprised of a slotted template slidingly engaged with a frame, where the frame is mounted to the cabinet carcass. Slide rail assemblies connect the slotted template to the frame. A pin block on the underside of a fixed shelf of the drawer box automatically centers the drawer box on the slotted template. A face plate adjustment mechanism provides for three dimensional alignment of the face plate with surrounding cabinets. An alternate embodiment comprises a mounting bracket providing three dimensional adjustability of the upper drawer slide.

The apparatus incorporates a clamping attachment mechanism in order to avoid permanent mounting holes and to provide quick installation and adjustable installation location. The apparatus comprises a hinge cup pivotally connected to an attachment mechanism ion with a hinge arm. The attachment mechanism comprises a base slidably engaged with a sliding body, the sliding body including an adjustable pressure plate. A lever works with a set of links to slide the sliding body with respect to the base towards the furniture piece and mechanically and releasably clamp the attachment mechanism to the furniture piece without the use of typical wood screws thereby preserving the integrity of the furniture piece. The apparatus further includes adjustability in the vertical, horizontal, and lateral directions.

Abstract: Disclosed is an adjustable face plate mounting system for adjusting the position of a face plate attached to a pantry pullout apparatus. The system comprises a slotted bracket adjustably attached to the face plate, a standoff assembly attached to the pantry pullout apparatus and slidably engaged with the slotted bracket, a fastener fixedly attached to the pantry pullout apparatus, and a set crew movable within the fastener and abutting the slotted bracket. A first embodiment of the standoff assembly includes a pair of standoffs and coordinating removable fasteners. Another embodiment of the standoff assembly includes a single standoff and fastener paired with a pin. The face plate is adjustable in three dimensions with respect to the pantry pullout apparatus and surrounding cabinets.

Abstract: A pressure release slide latch mechanism for a drawer slide assembly comprises an outer slide, an intermediate slide mounted in the outer slide, and an inner slide mounted in the intermediate slide, a channel plate having a track portion and a guide block attached to the outer slide and a carriage slidingly engaged and biased along the track portion. A pin of a follower pivotally attached to the inner slide engages the guide block to releasably maintain the drawer slide assembly in a closed position and releases upon an inward force applied to the drawer slide assembly.

Abstract: The present invention provides a transmission method which generates and sends a transmission signal generated from a multiplexing OFDM signal or a multiplexing wavelet-OFDM signal employing a multiplexing-spread chip sequence in which a chip of a code sequence for spread and a code sequence for combination, and a chip of a code sequence for localization are multiplied and multiplexed, and a receiving method which makes a high SN ratio improvement rate possible by converting the received signal to a frequency domain to acquire the multiplexing-spread chip sequence and by performing de-spreading and localizing processing to detect a localized pulse. According to the data transmission using the transmission and receiving method, data is mapped into a code sequence, and the receiving side can detect the data as the kind of code sequence, the shift time of a localized pulse and the polarity at a high SN ratio improvement rate.

The gas barrier layer can be made up of a particulate swelling clay, a non-swelling particulate material mixed with the particulate swelling clay, water, and a water-soluble polyol. The water can hydrate the particulate swelling clay and form a continuous liquid phase in the gas barrier layer. The water-soluble polyol can be dissolved in the water. The gas containment system can further include a gas retained inside the capsule.
