Abstract: An automatic distribution machine includes a plurality of bin modules, each bin module being adapted to dispense packages onto a conveyor belt or the like. The bin modules are removable and interchangeable, thereby facilitating replacement if one fails. A sorting operation performed by the machine is controlled by a computer, which communicates with the bin modules through a common data bus. Expansion of the sorting operation can be achieved by extending the data bus to additional bin modules.

Abstract: Cosmetic compositions containing N-alkoxyalkylamides for use in providing moisturizing and/or softening properties to treat dry human skin and for use in other cosmetic applications and including also various novel N-alkoxyalkylamides.
Abstract: An improved foundation composition for application to the skin is disclosed. The composition is characterized by the inclusion of a light scattering agent having a spherical shape and a diameter of up to 30 microns. This component permits the non-inclusion of a colorant. The absence of a colorant allows the foundation composition to be invisible on the skin.

Abstract: A cosmetic product includes a fibrillatable polymer as a binding agent. The thusly prepared composition having said fibrillatable polymer incorporated therein provides a cosmetic product which can be employed for coloration of the skin and utilized as a lipstick, as well as eyeshadow and eyeliner pencils, compressed powders and other solid-type cosmetic products obtained by suitable processing techniques such as milling, extrusion, compacting and so on.
Abstract: Cosmetic powder compositions which may be readily compression molded in various shapes are formed from, in weight %,about 10% to 80% of talc, about 0.1% to 20% of a powdered lubricant, about 0.1% to 20% of a powdered sorbent agent, andabout 0.1% to 20% of a liquid binder.Fillers, colorants, preservatives, antioxidants, binders and other cosmetic powder components may also be used.

Abstract: A plural shipping carton fabricated from a unitary blank includes two side-by-side units that are covered by a top consisting of a single rear end flap, two side flaps, and two front end flaps. Both units have solid inner panels which attach together. The plural carton is split into the two independent units by separating the inner panels. The plural carton is adapted for display by cutting around the periphery of the plural carton to remove the top, and removing substantial portions of the face surface, but leaving the inner panels in tact. The solid inner panels form a structural support member which cooperates with a rear panel to provide support for loads placed upon the plural carton. Thus, a storage system can be formed by stacking a plurality of identical plural cartons one on top of the other.
Abstract: A cosmetic powder bar composition is disclosed. The composition, substantially oil free, comprises calcium sulfate dihydrate, mica or mica-containing composite material and polyethylene. A unique process for making this composition is also set forth. In this process a powder phase composition and a liquid phase composition are separately prepared. The two compositions are contacted to form a slurry. The slurry is placed in molds and heated to remove free water therefrom.
