Abstract: The invention relates to the correction of an error-prone measuring signal of a pair of scanning rollers. The measuring signal is influenced by the circularity error of the pair of scanning rollers and/or by the eccentric mounting of the pair of scanning rollers. The pair of scanning rollers is used to measure the thickness of a fiber fleece or fiber sliver on a pre-spinning machine in the textile industry. The occurrence of a periodic error value in the measuring signal due to circularity error and/or eccentricity of the pair of scanning rollers is detected. The error value is stored in a position-related manner for one revolution of the scanning rollers and the stored error value is used in the operation of the scanning rollers within the cycles of rotation for the correction of the current, position-synchronous measuring signals.

Abstract: An opener device in an open-end spinning machine includes an opener roller driven by a drive disk and a drive belt. A tension roller is movable between a first position wherein it exerts a driving tension force on the drive belt, and a second position wherein the tension roller exerts a lesser tension on the drive belt so that the drive belt can be removed from the device. A braking device includes a movable actuating element and a braking belt contacting member, such as a bolt, associated with the actuating element so as to be moved thereby. The actuating element and braking belt contacting member are movable between a first position wherein the braking belt contacting member is at a distance from the drive belt and a second position wherein the braking belt contacting member comes into the contact with the drive belt forcing the belt away from the drive disk.

Abstract: An open-end spinning device has a spinning rotor with a rotor pot defining a fiber collection groove therein. A rotor shaft is provided having a diameter between 5.5 mm and 9 mm. Pairs of rotatable supporting rings supported on axles define a nip therebetween. The rotor shaft is rotatably supported in the nip. The supporting rings have a diameter between 62 mm and 82 mm. A thrust imparting device imparts an axial thrust to the rotor shaft in the direction opposite the rotor pot. A non-contacting axial bearing is disposed opposite the free end of the rotor shaft for absorbing the axial thrust without contacting the rotor shaft. The axial thrust imparting device generates an axial thrust between 1N and 7N on the rotor shaft. A driving device contacts the rotor shaft for rotatably driving the rotor and has a contact pressure with the rotor shaft from between 8N and 39N.

Abstract: A process and a device for the correction of the regulation onset point and of the intensity of regulation relate to a regulated drawing frame of the textile industry, i.e. a drawing frame in which drafting can be regulated or can be changed in a controlled manner. A selected transient signal of the fiber sliver thickness starts the process for a limited time span so that, independently of the existing regulation, the response signal is detected at the drawing frame output and its difference with the input signal is evaluated in order to correct the regulation onset point and/or the intensity of regulation.

Abstract: In open-end spinning, the fibers coming from an opener unit, upon leaving a fiber feeding channel (3), are conveyed to a fiber guiding surface (10) and then to a fiber collection groove (11) of a rotating spinning rotor (1) in which the fibers are deposited and are then spun into the end of a continuously withdrawn yarn. In this spinning process, the fibers coming out of the fiber feeding channel (3) are first compressed essentially in one plane and are at the same time spread out in the direction of rotation of the spinning rotor (1) to be then fed onto a portion of the circumference of the spinning rotor (1) in the form of a thin veil.

Abstract: The instant invention relates to the deposit of the fiber sliver end after the filling of a flat can. It is the object of the invention to deposit and prepare the sliver end in the area of the filling station on a full flat can in order to facilitate automatic handling of the flat can during transportation as well as automatic handling of the sliver end on a spinning machine at the least possible cost. The invention assumes that the positions between outlet (15) of the rotary plate (12), severing device (18) and flat can (1) in relation to each other are adjustable and that an influence on the point of deposit of the sliver end and on the length of the sliver end results from this selected setting.
